CeraVe BHA Exfoliating Toner

The new CeraVe BHA Exfoliating Toner combines 2% salicylic acid, niacinamide, and three essential ceramides to smooth texture, balance tone, control oil, and reduce the look of pores in 3 days while strengthening the skin’s barrier.

This exfoliating toner is designed for acne-prone skin, helping to unclog your pores and visibly minimize blackheads, to smooth the skin’s texture and control oil levels without stripping your skin’s barrier.

Key Ingredients

  • Salicylic Acid (BHA): exfoliates skin to unclog pores.
  • Ceramides: naturally found in your skin and play a vital role in helping your skin protect you. They help fill in the gaps between your skin cells so your skin can seal in moisture and seal out impurities.
  • Niacinamide: helps calm the skin and increase moisture.

CeraVe BHA Exfoliating Toner Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Toner Dupe?

The description and ingredients of the CeraVe BHA Exfoliating Toner does make the formula sound comparable to that of the Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Exfoliating Toner.

Both toners contain 2% salicylic acid (BHA) to exfoliate your skin, and unclog your pores. Both formulas also contain Butylene Glycol, Polysorbate (CeraVe has Polysorbate 60 while Paula’s Choice has Polysorbate 20), Sodium Hydroxide and Tetrasodium.

There is no doubt, the Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Exfoliating Toner ingredients list is a lot smaller than the CeraVe BHA Exfoliating Toner, so the formulas are not a straight dupe. However, both versions give you 2% Salicylic Acid, so if you’re looking for a more affordable Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Toner, the CeraVe BHA Exfoliating Toner is very much worth a try.

CeraVe BHA Exfoliating Toner

CeraVe BHA Exfoliating Toner is super simple to use. You use it after cleansing, by tipping the toner onto a clean cotton pad, and smooth the pad over your face.

After, apply moisturizer and other skincare products in your skincare routine.

This toner is priced at $19.99 for 8.0 oz of product, and CeraVe claim that with one bottle, you get 130 uses (applications), so if you use this every night, that would work out at just over four months of use per bottle, roughly $4.99 per month, which really isn’t bad at all for a dermatologist developed skincare product.
