3 Reasons You Should Consider A Cruise For Your Next Holiday

Cruises have a way of making travel feel simpler without stripping away the excitement. You’ve got the comfort of a familiar base, the ease of having meals and entertainment sorted, and the bonus of arriving somewhere new with very little effort on your part.

Modern ships are designed for more than just getting from port to port, offering space to properly switch off as well as plenty to do when you’re in the mood.

3 Reasons You Should Consider A Cruise For Your Next Holiday

Unpack Once and Wake Up Somewhere New

Cruising is becoming more and more popular, and is becoming more popular with those with younger families.

With cruising, you only have to unpack your luggage once, as you get the one cabin as your base throughout your trip, yet you get to visit many different locations in the ports you stop at.

You don’t have to faff about repacking or reorganising your belongings, and you don’t need to worry about transfers and timetables either.

The ship travels overnight, meaning you start every day with a fresh view and a fresh destination to explore – if you want to. You don’t even have to leave the ship if you don’t want to.

More Destinations with Less Hassle

Cruising makes it easier to see more places in one trip because the ship does the travelling for you.

Instead of juggling flights, transfers, and long drives between stops, you can move on overnight and arrive somewhere new in the morning.

Depending on the type of cruise, many of the ports are located near city/town centers, and if they’re not, they usually give you a free shuttle buss to take you to the best location, without having to spend money on taxis or alternative transport.

You can see as much or as little of each port location as you want, and decide on a daily basis on how active you want to be, with your exploring.

Food, Entertainment, and Relaxation Built In

Cruises are known for being so much fun – we’ve all see the adverts/commericals on TV.

All cruises give you a crazy action packed cruise itenary of things you can do on the ship, like shows, crafts, live music, sports, classes and so much more.

The cruise ship will have an amazing array of restaurants, diners, cafes and coffee shops, with many different cusines, allowing you to keep things simple, or bit more a la carte – if that’s what you fancy.

The variety means you can switch it up from night to night, and there’s such a fun community feel within the ship, which is why cruising is so popular for solo travellers too.

For your entertainment, you can choose between live shows, music, comedy, or quieter options for a drink, there’s always something happening, with the option to dip in and out as you like.

I always assumed that cruising would be super expensive compared to package holidays with a traditional flight and hotel package, but there’s not the case.

If you want a tropical cruise, it will of course be spendier, than say an European city cruise, but even then, you’re able to customize your cruise for your budget and preferences.
