The YSL Sequin Crush Mono Eyeshadow Collection launched towards the end of 2019 but I didn’t hear anyone talk about it until recently. I don’t know if that’s because it was a US only launch until recently, but it’s now available from UK YSL retailers. It definitely looks like the kind of launch you’d expect as part of a winter collection, ready for party season and doesn’t look like a spring launch to me, but I think they’re one of the more exciting YSL launches in a while.

You can apply easily SEQUIN CRUSH with fingers or a brush, but to maximise the intensity of the glitter it works well when dabbed on with a finger.” Tom Pécheux

The YSL Sequin Crush Mono Eyeshadow collection are £27 each and available in seven different shades;
- 1 Legendary Gold
- 2 Empowered Silver
- 4 Explosive Brown
- 6 Confident Nude
- 8 Louder Blue
- 9 Bold Blue
- 10 Beat Black
These eyeshadows look so stunning, and so metallic making their name perfect for them. Looking online it does look like there are more shades, but we just have this seven in the UK.
Each of the YSL Sequin Crush Mono Eyeshadow shades come in a small square, metallic compact with a mirror in the lid. At £27 they are pricey for just one shade, but even more so as they only contains 1 gram of product per shade.
I really like the look of the Confident Nude shade, but I don’t think I’d pay £27 for such a small amount of product, when you can get a full palette for some high-end brands for £10 more. I do love sparkle though, and they look like the kind of formula that you’d need to swatch instore to appreciate, as they do look super pretty and sparkly.
