There are Lunar New Year launches everywhere right now, and whilst most brands like to just repackage existing products in red packaging, the YSL Lunar New Year Rouge Pur Couture Lipsticks have to be one of my favourite Lunar New Year launches.

For 2022, YSL has opted for a beautiful velvet theme for their Lunar New Year collection. The YSL Lunar New Year Rouge Pur Couture Lipsticks are available in two different shades, and both of which have a striking red ombré velvet effect to the lids, with black metal accents.
In addition to the lipsticks, there’s also a velvet version of their Le Cushion Encre De Peau Foundation, as well as their Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Lipsticks.
The YSL Lunar New Year Rouge Pur Couture Lipsticks are available in the following two shades;
Both shades are variations of red, with one being an orange toned red, and the other is a cool toned bright red. They’re both pretty, and are perfect for a Lunar New Year collection, and I just love the velvet effect on the packaging – they look so sleek, and luxe.
