I’ve lost count of how many advent calendars they’ve launched this year, but it’s exciting to have so much choice, especially with Black Friday being two weeks away, and Revolution always wow with their Black Friday deals.
“XXude your colour with XX Revolution Xxude Liquid Lip Kit.
An intense and vibrant liquid lipstick with a delicate matte finish, paired with a matching XX Define Lipliner Pencil.“
All three are different variations of nude and pink, and included in each of the kits is a full size liquid lipstick, and a full size lip liner in the matching shade.
In the kits, you get the XX Revolution XXude Satin Liquid Lipstick and the XX Revolution Define Satin Lip Pencil, and for £10 it’s a great deal as the liquid lipstick is £10 to purchase alone, and the lip liner is not yet available individually, but the eyeliners from the range are £5, so I’d assume the lip liners would be the same.
I have the XX Revolution XXude Satin Liquid Lip Kit in the shade Flicker, which is the lightest kit from the three available. Flicker is described by Revolution as being a peachy pink with a pink undertone, and I’d say that’s pretty spot on. It looks like such a pretty, summery pink colour.
I’ve never actually tried any of the XX Revolution XXude Satin Lipsticks before, but the formula is really nice. It’s so lightweight and thin with the first layer, but a second layer is almost fully opaque.
I imagine shades which don’t have a white base will be opaque in the one layer, and the lip liner is amazing. It has metal packaging, so it feels heavy and luxe, but for a retractable lip liner, it is super smooth, gliding over the lips.
There’s no tugging, and no breaking, which usually happens with a lot of retractable lip liners. For £10 it’s a great set, and right now the XX Revolution XXude Satin Liquid Lip Kit is on sale for just £7 on the Revolution website, which is even better!
