XX Revolution have revealed their latest launch, and it’s a whole luxury makeup brush collection. The XX Revolution XXpert Makeup Brush Collection includes thirteen beautiful makeup brushes, which are all sold individually, and are the first brush collection for XX Revolution.
There is the XX Revolution Luxx Brush Set, which includes five makeup brushes and a velvet brush wrap, but they’ve never launched individual brushes before, and considering Revolution is an affordable, drugstore brand, the XX Revolution XXpert Makeup Brush Collection looks very luxe!
I don’t know if they’ll launch brush sets which will offer a saving, but at the time of writing this post, they are included within the site’s 3-for-2 deal right now, so you can make a saving when placing an order.
It would be great to see a set featuring their eye brushes and their face brushes, so people can try the brushes as part of a bundle.
“Wave buh-bye to unhygienic brushes. XX Revolution is changing the makeup brush game with our XXpert brushes, ft. high-quality vegan bristles coated with a protective complex to help fight bacteria growth.
Level-up your artistry with brushes that do the work for you. Cute ‘n functional, these fluted handled brushes in our signature XX ‘neo pink’ are a makeup bag must.“
All of the brushes within the XX Revolution XXpert Makeup Brush Collection have metallic pink handles, with an iridescent shift, just like the packaging on their makeup products. They also have silver metal ferrules, and luxurious duo-fiber bristles.
I like the idea that the bristles have been coated with the protective complex to help fight bacteria growth, and it’s not a claim you see often with makeup brushes, and certainly not drugstore makeup brushes.
Let’s take a look at the brushes…
XX Revolution The Intellectual Petite Face Powder Brush – a tapered powder brush ideal for precise highlighter or blush.
XX Revolution The Multi-Tasker Elite Face Powder Brush – a slightly tapered powder brush perf for loose powders, blushes, or bronzers. We love a multi-purpose queen.
XX Revolution The Scholar All Over Flat Shading Brush – A shading brush great for packing on colour quickly.
XX Revolution The Specialist Angled Face Buffing Brush – an angled buffing brush amazing for blending in foundation or any other liquid product.
XX Revolution The Psychic Angled Face Buffing Brush – a tapered blending brush for contouring eyelid creases and blending out even the most pigmented of shadows.
XX Revolution The Rebel Deluxe Face Buffing Brush – a large domed buffing brush for blending foundation in seconds.
XX Revolution The Artist Definition Eye Crease Brush – A domed brush perfect for packing on and blending out eyeshadow.
XX Revolution The Professional Soft Focus Angled Face Powder Brush – an angled brush for gr8 bronzing and contouring.
XX Revolution The Authority Fluffy Concealer Brush – An angled concealer brush that fits snugly into under eye areas.
XX Revolution The Core Face & Body Buffer – a wide, angled buffing brush fab for applying makeup to face and body (she chonky).
XX Revolution The Architect Curved Face Cheekbone Brush – a chiselled highlight and contour brush that’s moulded to fit snugly into the contours of your face.
XX Revolution The Reckoner Face Stippling Brush – a flat top stippling brush to seamlessly blend liquid, cream and powder formulas into a soft-focus effect.
XX Revolution The Perspective Angled Eye Brush – An angled brush ideal for soft blended liner looks or filling in brows.
We all know Revolution likes a dupe, so when I saw the XX Revolution XXpert Makeup Brush Collection, one brush in particular really stood out to me, and that’s The Authority Brush, as it looks remarkably similar to the Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Concealer Brush.
There’s actually a few brushes within the XX Revolution XXpert Makeup Brush Collection which look like dupes, like The Architect Brush which looks very similar to the Zoeva 098 Luxe Contour Artist Brush.
