There’s an amazing new launch from XX Revolution today, and it’s the XX Revolution XX Strike Water Activated Liners Palette. We’ve seen Revolution dabble in water activated eyeliners before.
There’s a range of split pan liners from Relove by Revolution, and then in their Neon Heat summer collection, there was a four-piece set. This, however, is the first time we’ve seen Revolution launch a water activated liner palette, and what a palette it is…
“The Year Of The Tiger got us feelin some type of way… Let creativity strike and show your true tiger stripes the XX way.
Water Activated Eyeliners in 6 striking shades with the perfect liner brush included. Mix n’ match colours to create the perfect shade!“
From the description, it looks like the XX Revolution XX Strike Water Activated Liners Palette has launched to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
As well as this water activated liner palette, XX Revolution has also launched a new palette; X Mystic, both of which have tiger stripe patterns on the packaging. I like that they’re not just red repackaged products like most beauty brands, and both products look beautiful!
The XX Revolution XX Strike Water Activated Liners Palette is £8, and the palette comes with a super fine liner brush to use with the liners. Inside the palette, you’re getting six shades containing 1.8g of product.
I think £8 is a bargain for this palette, especially as you’re getting a brush as well as the palette. Plus, it’s XX Revolution, which is their luxe sister brand, so yes, the pans are small at just 1.8g, but considering you’re also getting a brush for £8, I think that’s an amazing price compared to other brand’s water activated liner palettes.
The brush has a purple handle, with black tiger stripes all over, and the palette contains six bright and vivid shades, with a purple, white, black, fuchsia pink, marigold yellow and orange.
If you’ve never tried water activated liners before, they’re solid powder pans, and you add a couple of drops of water directly onto the pan, and then use the brush to swirl around to create a creamy consistency, and then apply to the eyes or wherever you want to use them.
Normally, putting water onto a powder pan would result in hard pan, and damage the pan for good, but water activated liners are amazing, and once they dry out after you’ve used them, you can just reactivate the liner by adding water next time you want to use them.
For £8, it’s a stunning palette, and it’s perfect if you’ve been wanting to experiment with water activated eyeliners, and the XX Revolution XX Strike Water Activated Liners Palette is available right now.
