The new XX Revolution brand has lots of eyeshadow palettes to choose from, but the XX Revolution Chameleon Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette really caught my eye as it looks so unique to anything else they’ve created previously with their existing sister brands.
XX Revolution Chameleon Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette
With the Revolution sister brands, there’s a lot of cross overs and duplicates where products exist from say Makeup Obsession and Revolution, and the formula / ingredients list is the same, but it has a totally different name.
XX Revolution are the newest sister brand from Revolution, and is their most luxe brand to date. I’ve not tried anything from XX Revolution yet, but I feel like the aesthetic and luxury vibes is everything we all expected Freedom and then Revolution Pro to be.
XX Revolution aim to create makeup products that feature skincare ingredients, but they are not a clean brand.
The packaging is extremely more luxe, and the XX Revolution Chameleon Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette will be launching alongside the rest of the XX Revolution products onto the Boots website very soon.
So, the XX Revolution Chameleon Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette is pricey at £20 / $25 for just six shadows – yes really.
That’s almost Urban Decay pricing with their Naked Basics or Petite Heat Palettes, which also feature six shadows – in an extremely similar format too.
This palette had quite a cringe description. Please don’t ever purchase a makeup product just for the packaging *eyeroll*;

The XX Revolution Chameleon Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette does have pretty duochrome packaging, with six eyeshadows containing 4.2g of product each. That’s a HUGE amount of eyeshadow per shade, especially when you consider a full size MAC eyeshadow is around 1.5g.
So whilst the XX Revolution Chameleon Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette is £20, and feels crazy high got a drugstore brand. You’re getting an amazing amount of product for your money.
Revolution haven’t included swatches of this palette which is such a shame, as the stock photos just font do duochrome shades justice. So hopefully they’ll upload some XX Revolution Chameleon Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette swatches, so we can see what the pigmentation and colour shifting effects are like.
The shades are unique and colourful, so they won’t be for everyone, but if you like to experiment with colour, or like to use multidimensional shadows, the pretty new XX Revolution Chameleon Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette is available now.
