The latest launch for Wayne Goss Cosmetics has been revealed, and it’s the Wayne Goss Cosmetics The Waterproof Mascara. We’ve had a few hints that Wayne’s latest makeup launch was going to be a mascara, as we’ve seen images of a mascara wand up close.
The last product to launch for Wayne Goss Cosmetics was the range of Radiance Boosting Palettes, which were bronzer/contour palettes for different skintones.
They were originally announced back in March, so it looks like new products might be dropping every three months or so this year, and it’ll be interesting to see which products come next for the brand.
The Wayne Goss Cosmetics The Waterproof Mascara is having a full reveal on Friday via Wayne Goss’ YouTube channel, but we know a few things already. We know it’s a waterproof formula, but maybe Wayne will launch a non-waterproof formula too, for those that don’t want a waterproof mascara formula.
The tube is a glossy black colour, and the tube contains 6.9g / 0.23oz of product, which is below the average for a mascara volume which is surprising.
To compare that to some market leading mascaras, the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is 8g, Hourglass Caution Extreme Mascara is 8.7g and the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara is 8.5g, so you’re getting almost 1-2g less product than other mascaras.
I anticipate the price will be around Benefit’s mascara price, so you’re looking at $26, so it’ll be interesting to see what the full price will be once it’s revealed, compared to the sizes of the other market-leading mascaras.
We can also see that the Wayne Goss Cosmetics The Waterproof Mascara has a chunky, synthetic wand with very short, spiky bristles which are evenly spaced out along the wand.
If I had to compare it to another mascara, from the photos we’ve seen, it looks like it could be a cross between the Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara and the Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara.
- The waterproof, sweatproof, and smudgeproof formula builds smoothly, adding definition and length with every coat
- The wand’s micro-sized bristles reach deep into the root of lashes to catch last hair—even the small ones in the corner of your eyes
- Feels soft, flexible, and lightweight—never stiff or crunchy—on lashes while holding a curl all day
“I wanted to create a mascara that was designed to do what a mascara is supposed to do. Make your lashes look longer, blacker, and hold the curl. The wand is very specific. If you look closely you’ll see the spines are very small. This means you can get close to the lash. It won’t clump on first application. It also means you don’t get product overload.
No more wiping the mascara on the tube. Speaking of the tube, this mascara pulls out the right about of product each time. No excessiveness. Basically this means there is enough mascara on the wand each and every time. No more wiping. No more clumping. Why waterproof? Because waterproof mascaras hold curl.
And this one holds the curl really really well. Think about curling your hair? If you were to put water on it after you’ve curled it what would happen? The curls would fall out. Thats what traditional mascara do.
Waterproof mascaras work differently. This mascara holds the curl. It also protects from rain or tears and sweat. No more smearing. And once dry it doesn’t transfer. And because you’re not overloading the wand with product you can build up length and still hold the curl.“
I’ll be sure to update this post once more information is shared on Friday, but like the rest of the Wayne Goss Cosmetics products, it’ll be available from Beautylish right here.
