“This palette brings vibrancy, intelligence and blend-ability into refined pigments for brighter more lifted eyes. The formulas are refined. Elegant. And offer superior blending abilities, melting into each other without muddying.
The blackest black offers the ability to contour, tightline, smoke and smudge any shade to give a smokey look regardless of the colour chosen.” – Wayne Goss
Wayne describes the texture as being beautifully refined, and they go on ‘beautifully’ to the eyes. They feature ‘Soft Blend Technology’ which means they blend really well and Wayne worked incredibly hard on the blendability of the shadows.
All of Wayne’s target testing for his cosmetics range has been those in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s as he feels it’s an age group that is often missed out. He feels that if a product looks incredibly stunning on a 60, 70 or 80 year old, then it’s going to look stunning on everybody.
He wanted to make sure the Wayne Goss Cosmetics The Luxury Eye Palette featured textures that would suit everybody. He likes to think of this makeup range as being an extension of a water colour, with everything enhancing the canvas rather than covering it.
Inside the Wayne Goss Cosmetics The Luxury Eye Palette there are shimmer shades, matte shades and celestial shades. The celestial shades are designed to give incredible sparkle and glistening dancing light to the eyes.
The two matte shades (the deep brown and black) absorb light and go on gorgeously, and the three shimmer shades go on like a beautiful pearlescent shimmer.
The size of this palette is huge. You get 16.2g grams of product in the whole palette, and that works out at 2.7g of product per pan. Wayne wanted everyone to be aware of the amount of product you get for your money as it’s important you’re not only getting quality of product but also the quantity of product.
- Six staple shades in matte, satin, and shimmer finishes take you from office to date night and everywhere in between
- Micronized powder particles and smooth-blend emollients give the pressed powder formula a silky feel and incredible blendability in just a few strokes
- Includes a classic matte black—a must-have in everyone’s collection—for eye liner or a smoky eye and a shimmer shade that can be worn alone or as a sparkling topper
- Extra-large pan size fits every type of brush
The large pans have been designed so you can use any eyeshadow brush from any brand, and the brush will always fit into the pans, because they are so big.
Wayne said that every one of his eyeshadow palettes coming now and in the future will come with a black eyeshadow, as Wayne believes having a black eyeshadow in the palette is extremely important as he feels like black shadow can do more for the eye than any other eyeshadow colour.
He then included a demonstration of the impact from using the black shade within the Wayne Goss Cosmetics The Luxury Eye Palette and pushing it into the lashline, without even having to apply mascara.
Wayne also feels it’s important for a black shade to be included because many medium tone eyeshadow palettes can look like highlight shades on deeper skintones. Therefore the black means you can deepen any other eyeshadow shade, making it more inclusive for different skintones.
In addition to the Wayne Goss Cosmetics The Luxury Eye Palette, Wayne is also launching three ‘beautiful’ Kohl Liners too, and Wayne describes them as being the classic kohl but with a twist.
They are available in the following shades;
- Precious Opal – Medium bronze with a satin finish
- Obsidian – Rich black with a matte finish
- Rich Hazel – Dark brown with a matte finish
“The stunning kohl pencils offer a true kohl feeling but with a softer richer pay off. Soft, smudgy. Designed for the both inside and outside the eye. They offer a beautiful base or enhanced drama.” – Wayne Goss
The three Wayne Goss Cosmetics Kohl Pencils are softer than most kohl pencils and this means they’re safe on the eyes, and the creaminess means they’ll never hurt the eyes either.
