The Wander Beauty Wanderess Glow Highlighter has just launched, but it's technically not a brand new product for the brand. In the last six months or so, beauty brands have been using beauty box subscriptions such as Ipsy and Boxycharm to debut samples of their upcoming launches to tease fans, and get initial feedback.
I think this is really clever, and those that receive a sample size of say a highlighter in a box, and they love it, they're bound to buy the full size on launch. Ciate is another brand that has done this with their Vacay Everyday Powder, which they previewed in a Boxycharm box. I think it also generates some FOMO for those who didn't get to try it within the box, especially when influencers start raving about said product.
Wander Beauty Wanderess Glow Highlighter
This silky highlighter creates a universal, champagne pearl glow. Featuring an ultra fine, light-reflecting pigment that blends flawlessly onto the skin for a radiant-looking complexion.
The buttery, fine shimmer can be used on face and body. Apply a sheer layer for a subtle glow or build for a statement strobe. Enriched with edelweiss flower extract to help keep skin supple and sunflower seed oil to retain moisture.
Apply Wander Beauty Wanderess Glow Highlighter to the high points of your face such as the cheek bones, brow bone, nose bridge and Cupid's bow to enhance those features. To use on body, apply to your decolletage, shoulders, and even legs to diffuse light and add radiance.

The Wander Beauty Wanderess Glow Highlighter is $30 via the Wander Beauty website, but we can purchase via Nordstrom for £24.96 (minus shipping) because they do ship to the UK. On the Ipsy website, it says that the Wander Beauty Wanderess Glow Highlighter was created exclusively for Ipsy subscribers so it could be that it proved to be mega popular so they decided to launch the full size version.
This highlighter is described as being ‘universal', and I always roll my eyes at that description when it comes to products like highlighters as there are so many different skintones, how can it truly be universal?
In the swatches above, the Wander Beauty Wanderess Glow Highlighter truly does look beautiful but it looks too dark for a highlighter for the lighter skinned swatch, but it's obvious it's been swatched at intensity and you wouldn't apply that much to the face.
It looks so pretty, and metallic, but it looks a little too pale for the deeper skin swatch too. I can imagine the shade looking amazing on light to medium skintones. The packaging is also very pretty, with a metallic pink compact and a mirror within the lid. I've never tried anything from Wander Beauty myself before, but I really want to finally try the brand this year as everyone raves about their products.
