When I spotted the W7 Hydro Surge Primer on the W7 website, I knew I’d never seen it before but it looks like it actually launched last year. I couldn’t find any reviews on it anywhere online, which is very strange as W7 is such a popular brand.
W7 Hydro Surge Primer
The W7 Hydro Surge Primer is the newest addition to the W7 Prime Magic Primer Collection. The original Prime Magic Primers are all ‘dupes’ for different Smashbox primers in terms of packaging but in formula too.
Each of the different Prime Magic primers target didn’t skin concerns like pore blurring, colour correcting and more. This new hydrating primer looks identical to the amazing but now discontinued Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Primer.
I used to be obsessed with the Smashbox Hydrating Primer, and was truly gutted they discontinued it and replaced it with the Primerizer which I definitely don’t think is as good as the original hydrating primer formula.
The W7 Hydro Surge Primer is £6.95 for 30ml, and contains Ophiopogon Japonicus (Ophiopogon) Root Extract, Sophora Flavescens Root Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate and Opuntia Streptacantha (Cactus) Stem Extract to give the primer is a nice and hydrating formula.
If you can no longer get your hands on the Smashbox version, the W7 Hydro Surge Primer might be well worth a try, especially when it’s under £7.
