Urban Decay have announced a brand new collection today; the Urban Decay Vegan Eyeshadow Collection, which is launching as part of their spring 2021 collection.
This collection is different compared to their previous collection, because it’s a brand new vegan formula of three of their existing products.

Urban Decay Vegan Eyeshadow Collection
The Urban Decay Vegan Eyeshadow Collection is available on the ULTA website, and on the Urban Decay website, and includes brand new eyeshadows in the following three existing eyeshadow formulas the brand already offers;
- 24/7 Eyeshadows
- Moondust Eyeshadows
- 24/7 Shadow Sticks
For this collection, Urban Decay have created a limited edition collection for each of the three eyeshadow formulas, and the shades are all vegan.
I don’t know why this collection is going to be ‘limited availability’ as it surely makes sense to make them permanent, but it could be that it’s going to be a soft launch for the brand, to test the water and gauge their popularity.
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeshadow Long Lasting Singles Vegan Collection
“Create long-lasting, versatile eye makeup looks with the Urban Decay 24/7 Shadow singles in smooth, high-pigment colors and four finishes for every mood—matte, satin, shimmer, and metallic.
Our velvety-soft vegan eyeshadow formula glides on smoothly in an array of vibrant shades ranging from soft neutrals and warm browns to golden, bronze shimmers and rich jewel tones.
These supercharged, caffeine-packed Urban Decay eyeshadows blend seamlessly and be applied wet or dry with a finger or brush to brighten and enhance the eyes.“
Key Benefits
- Rich, dense, and decadent high-pigment eye shadow
- Ultra-smooth color payoff with maximum blendability provides uniform pigment distribution
- Longwear eye shadow, with minimal fallout
- Shimmer, metallic, matte, and satin eyeshadow finishes
Each of the shades within the Urban Decay Vegan Eyeshadow Collection, in the 24/7 Eyeshadow Formula are packaged within clear, acetate compacts which is an upgrade on their gunmetal subway token style packaging.
I have to admit, I loved their old packaging, and own many individual Urban Decay eyeshadows within my collection, but you can’t tell the shades apart very easily, so the clear lid will make it easier to spot which shade is which.
The shades within the Urban Decay Vegan Eyeshadow Collection for the 24/7 individual solo eyeshadows are;
- Ember
- New Riff
- Overdraft
- Rundown
- Wild One
- Fazed
- Dumb Luck
- Half Baked
- Tease
- Fix
- Virgin
- Sin
- Blackout
- Mushroom
- Psych
- Freak
- Lucid
- Float
- Charged
- Ride
- Set List
- Free Bird
- Floored
- Bad Seed
- Introvert
Next up in the Urban Decay Vegan Eyeshadow Collection, is the new vegan Moondust Eyeshadow Collection. If you’d never tried their Moondust formula before, it’s basically a super sparkly, metallic formula which works well as an eyeshadow topper to add a little sparkle and dimension to the lids.
“More is more—Urban Decay 24/7 Moondust Shadow singles give you maximum sparkle, supercharged color, and a long-lasting shimmery finish that lasts up to 16 hours.
Use a finger to apply our caffeine-packed, velvety vegan eyeshadow formula to build up intense shimmer; or blend the glitter eyeshadow with a brush for a diffused glow with radiant, long-lasting color payoff.“
Directions
- First, prime lids with Eyeshadow Primer Potion for more vibrant, crease-free color that lasts all day.
- For even bolder, richer color, use a corresponding 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliner Pencil as an allover base.
- Apply the high pigment eyeshadow using any UD Pro Eyeshadow Brush or your fingertips for intense color payoff.
- Use wet or dry. Mist your brush with All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray before using to create a foiled, almost-wet effect.
- Finally, lock down your makeup look for up to 16 hours with All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray.
It looks like there’s only going to be five shades within the Moondust collection as part of the Urban Decay Vegan Eyeshadow Collection;
- Cosmic
- Space Cowboy
- Solstice
- Lithium
- Glitter Rock
Then the last formula within the Urban Decay Vegan Eyeshadow Collection is the 24/7 Shadow Stick Collection. This is my favourite product within the collection, as I loved their 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Sticks, but nobody ever talked about them and I have no idea why.
They used to be conventional chunky pencils that needed sharpening, but the packaging has been upgraded, so that it’s now a twist-up retractable shadow stick which is much more convenient.
“With just one swipe, our retractable 24/7 Shadow Sticks give you creamy, supercharged color in three fadeproof finishes—matte, shimmer, metallic. This high-pigment vegan eyeshadow stick glides on smooth in shades ranging from eye brightening neutrals to bold, vibrant blues and greens.
24/7 Shadow Stick’s caffeine-packed formula applies effortlessly, allowing time to blend then dries down waterproof for up to 24 hours.
Create versatile looks for every mood with easy, blendable all over color or go for a more dramatic look using the built-in sharpener for thinner lines and more precise application. No tools needed!“

So that’s the entire Urban Decay Vegan Eyeshadow Collection. It’s nice to see the collection includes some old time favourites like Mildew, Mushroom, Lithium, Half Baked and Sin.
But I’m sad to see some old favourites that haven’t been included within the Urban Decay Vegan Eyeshadow Collection like Smog or Lounge.
I’m excited to try the three different formulas within the Urban Decay Vegan Eyeshadow Collection, and I like the more modern packaging on the three different formulas too. If you’d like to check out this brand new collection, they’re available exclusively right here.
