Urban Decay are known for their fantastic range of setting sprays, with the All Nighter Setting Spray being one of the bestselling setting sprays full stop. Urban Decay have a number of different shades of their Primer Potion Eyeshadow Primer, and they’ve dabbled with face primers in the past too. Until very recently, they had no face primers at all as they’d discontinued them but they’re back with the Urban Decay All Nighter Face Primer.
The Urban Decay All Nighter Face Primer is £26, contains 30ml of product and is packaged within a matte black squeezy tube with purple foiled writing. The tube comes with a pump dispenser which is an improvement to their old face primers, which used to have narrow nozzles. The pump offers a more controlled dispensing of the product, and the primer is white in colour with a cream-like consistency.
Urban Decay All Nighter Face Primer
“A longwear complexion primer that boosts your foundation’s staying power so it looks fresh for up to 8 hours.
The latest addition to the All Nighter family, this primer goes on sheer and lightweight, making it easy to wear alone or under foundation. It preps skin, giving it a lifted feel and a hit of hydration. By helping to reduce the look of fine lines and improve the appearance of pores, All Nighter is a no-brainer step in your skin prep routine.”
- Smooth over clean, moisturized skin with fingertips or foundation brush and evenly blend from the center of the face in an outward motion.

The Urban Decay All Nighter Face Primer has a slightly vague description, in that it only really claims to offer 8 hours of wear time for your makeup as well as hydrating. It doesn’t make any claims about pore perfecting or blurring, not does it combat shine or minimise imperfections.
I feel like there’s a lot of face primers on the market right now, and this launch feels a little lacklustre. If you don’t need any skin smoothing or blurring, and have perfect skin, then maybe this primer will be great for you. I just would rather splurge on a primer that will extend the wear time of my makeup, add hydration but also have some skin perfecting properties too.
