ULTA launched a whole Harry Potter collection, and it’s had mixed reception so far. The ULTA x Harry Potter Lip Gloss Collection is just one of the products within the collaborative collection, but there’s also four eyeshadow palettes and a makeup brush set too. These glosses are $10, and keep on reading to find out more…
ULTA x Harry Potter Lip Gloss Collection
I can totally see why ULTA chose to make the eyeshadow palettes, as they’re each named and themed around each of the four Harry Potter houses. The brushes are named after different Harry Potter items, but the ULTA x Harry Potter Lip Gloss Collection feels a little random in comparison.
The ULTA x Harry Potter Lip Gloss Collection consists of four different lip glosses, and whilst each of the four glosses are named after different Harry Potter items, the colours aren’t relevant or in any way related to the Harry Potter item they’re named after.
Howler – medium mauve pink
Platform 9 3/4 – peach beige shimmer
Hedwig – clear with silver shimmer
Spectrespecs – light pink shimmer
I do think all four shades look very pretty, and the packaging is really cute. Each of the glosses have clear plastic tubes, with white plastic lids and there’s a gold foil design on the tube to reflect the Harry Potter item the gloss is themed after.
The Hedwig gloss in particular is adorable, with a cute little owl on the front, but the lids have pretty gold foil stars too. I think $10 is quite pricey for an individual gloss, but the price is higher as ULTA have had to purchase a licence in order to create the collection.
There’s no claims on the formula either, they’re just marketed as being moisturising lip glosses, but if you do like the look of these glosses, they’re available right now.
