The Too Faced Love Flush Love Yourself Water Color Blush launched back in April as part of a five-shade reformulated resurgence of the once discontinued Too Faced Love Flush Blusher collection.
I was gutted when the Love Flush Blusher collection was discontinued, as it was such a beautiful blush formula, with the cutest blusher packaging too, so I’m thrilled they’ve decided to bring them back, and fingers crossed, it’s for keeps this time. Too Faced Love Flush Love Yourself Water Color Blush
Now, Too Faced are an American beauty brand, but strangely enough, the new collection of five brand new shades are only available in the UK right now, and they haven’t even launched State side, nor have they even been mentioned by Too Faced.
So they’re currently exclusive to UK beauty retailers, and I’ve already shared a review on two of the five shades; No Ordinary Love and California Love, and now it’s time to share Too Faced Love Flush Love Yourself Water Color Blush with you.
Too Faced used to have a whole collection of Love Flush Blushes, and for some crazy reason, they decided to discontinue them a few years ago. I was gutted at the time, as they were one of my favourite blusher formulas, and I’m not going to lie, I still own and use the old formula, and don’t intend on parting with them anytime soon.
“You’ll fall in love with these super soft, silky blushes that will have you flushed with the afterglow of your first love.
Formulated with a nourishing blend of tropical cocoa butter, this formula blends beautifully for a lightweight feel. Buildable pigments and a natural satin finish give cheeks the pretty pop of colour you lust after. Available in 3 super cute shades!“
The Too Faced Love Flush Love Yourself Water Color Blush is one of five shades within the brand new reformulated Love Flush Blush Collection;
Three of the above shades are available from all Too Faced stockists in the UK, but there are two shades which are only available from the Too Faced UK online store (Crazy in Love and Greatest Love of All).
Just like the original Too Faced Love Flush Blushers, the Too Faced Love Flush Love Yourself Water Color Blush and the other four shades in the collection have exactly the same shaped packaging. With the cutest heart shaped, shiny compacts which give me Polly Pocket vibes, and the pans also have the same raised bunny and floral design.
The pans feature a raised pearl design, two bunnies in the centre and roses all around them. In the original blushers, there weren’t roses on the pans, so they’ve had a subtle tweak, but look just as beautiful.
The Too Faced Love Flush Love Yourself Water Color Blush is housed within a bright coral coloured compact, which complements the coral shade of the blusher perfectly.
The original Love Flush Blusher shades were quite bright and vibrant, but the three shades of the new formula are a little more muted and pale skin friendly. This shade range has caught quite the stir, as it’s not the most inclusive, but the two Too Faced UK shades are considerably more vibrant than the Too Faced Love Flush Love Yourself Water Color Blush, California Love and No Ordinary Love….
I wanted to share swatches of all three of the muted shades in the collection, so you could see how they each compare, and see what the Too Faced Love Flush Love Yourself Water Color Blush looks like. I have very pale skin, so all three shades work really well on my skintone.
However, if you have anything other than fair to light skin, I don’t think these three shades will match your skintone. Too Faced Love Flush Love Yourself Water Color Blush is a muted neon coral.
It’s almost like a neon coral with a white base, which makes it lighter, but it’s certainly brighter than No Ordinary Love and California Love. I love a coral blush, so this has been my go-to blush shade in the warmer weather, and it’s just so pretty.
The formula is incredibly smooth and creamy, and much more smooth than their original formula. It’s a completely matte blusher (as are all five new shades), but it’s a forgiving matte formula which doesn’t emphasise texture or peach fuzz.
The pigmentation of the Too Faced Love Flush Love Yourself Water Color Blush is a little stronger than No Ordinary Love and California Love, but it’s still a relatively subtle blusher, and it lasts for at least six hours before showing signs of fading. All five new shades are beautiful, and I’ll share the last two shades with you very soon.
