The Too Faced Love Flush California Love Water Color Blush is one of five brand new blushers, which have launched as a reformulated collection of an old favourite Too Faced product.
I love Too Faced as a brand, so I knew I had to order all five shades, and this is just one of the five shades I have to show you, so keep on reading to see California Love. You can also see my review of the No Ordinary Love Blusher right here too.

Too Faced Love Flush California Love Water Color Blush
Too Faced used to have a whole collection of Love Flush Blushes, and for some crazy reason, they decided to discontinue them. I was gutted, as they were one of my favourite blusher formulas, and I’m not going to lie, I still own the old formula, and don’t intend on parting with them anytime soon.
“You’ll fall in love with these super soft, silky blushes that will have you flushed with the afterglow of your first love. Formulated with a nourishing blend of tropical cocoa butter, this formula blends beautifully for a lightweight feel. Buildable pigments and a natural satin finish give cheeks the pretty pop of colour you lust after. Available in 3 super cute shades!“
The Too Faced Love Flush California Love Water Color Blush is one of five shades;
Key Ingredients
- Tropical Cocoa Butter: known for moisturizing and hydrating properties
- Skin-silkening texturizer: allows for sensorial experience, leaving skin feeling soft, silky
- Conditioning and softening ingredients: ensure formula is lightweight and comfortable
I have no idea why, but the five shades of this blusher collection are only available in the UK. Too Faced are an American brand, and they haven’t got any of these shades available in the US at all.
Three of the shades are available from all Too Faced stockists in the UK, but there are two shades which are only available from the Too Faced UK online store (Crazy in Love and Greatest Love of All).
Just like the original Too Faced Love Flush Blushers, the Too Faced Love Flush California Love Water Color Blush and the other four shades have exactly the same packaging. With heart shaped, shiny compacts which give me Polly Pocket vibes, and the pans also have the same raised bunny and floral design.
The pans feature a raised pearl design, two bunnies in the centre and roses all around them. In the original blushers, there weren’t roses on the pans, so they’ve had a subtle tweak, but look just as beautiful.
The Too Faced Love Flush California Love Water Color Blush is housed within a nude compact which complements the shade of the blusher perfectly.
The original Love Flush Blusher shades were quite bright and vibrant, but the three shades of the new formula are very muted and pale skin friendly. This shade range has caught quite the stir, as it’s not the most inclusive, but the two Too Faced UK shades are vibrant.
I wanted to share swatches of all three shades, so you could see how they each compare, and see what the Too Faced Love Flush California Love Water Color Blush looks like. I have very pale skin, so all three shades work really well on my skintone.
However, if you have anything other than fair to light skin, I don’t think these three shades will match your skintone. Too Faced Love Flush California Love Water Color Blush is the prettiest nude blush, and it reminds me of NARS Douceur, which used to be my all-time favourite blusher.
The formula is incredibly smooth and creamy, and much more smooth than their original formula. It’s a completely matte blusher, and this particular shade works well as a blush / bronzer hybrid and it’s so beautiful.
The pigmentation is on the subtler side, so if you prefer a less is more approach when it comes to blusher, you’ll love these blushers, and they last for at least six hours before fading. All of the shades are beautiful, and I’ll share the rest with you very soon.
