The Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Eyeshadow Palette has been revealed as being the latest eyeshadow palette for Too Faced, and the latest addition to the brand’s Born This Way collection.
This brand new eyeshadow palette is said to be inspired by the Too Faced Born This Way complexion collection, and is the second eyeshadow palette to be inspired by their range of foundations, concealers and powders, with the last palette being the Born This Way The Natural Nudes Eyeshadow Palette.
The Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Eyeshadow Palette is set to launch on the 31st of March, and will be part of a whole Sunset Stripped Collection, however the rest of the collection won’t actually be available until May, so we have quite the wait to see the entirety of the collection.
This eyeshadow palette is $48, and contains sixteen shades, just like the original Born This Way Palette, and like the original palette, this palette also features cardboard packaging.
For this collection and eyeshadow palette, Too Faced are said to have tapped into the brand’s California roots, with a palm tree design on the packaging, as well as a street sign effect for the palette’s name.
The tropical theme for the Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Eyeshadow Palette goes further than the packaging, with the shades featuring hyaluronic acid.
The shades are said to be inspired by beach-goer’s sunkissed glow, with the formula also featuring refreshing coconut water. I wonder if the shadows will have a coconut scent? We know how much Too Faced likes a scented eyeshadow palette.
The Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Eyeshadow Palette is a beautiful neutral palette, with more intense and deeper hues compared to their original Born This Way Palette.
Some will complain that it’s a ‘boring’ palette, but the whole premise of the collection, is the inspiration of their foundation / concealer range, so it’s to be expected there will be neutral and skintone themed shades.
Inside the Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Eyeshadow Palette, there are the following shade names;
- High Tide (warm taupe matte)
- Shell We Dane (warm light pink shimmer)
- Suns Out (light beige gold metallic)
- Nude Beach (neutral beige matte)
- Sun Chaser (medium warm brown matte)
- Surfboard (golden peach metallic)
- Shell Yeah (light peach with pink shimmer)
- Butter Pecan (light milky orange matte)
- Golden Hour (rose terracotta matte)
- Hey, Honey (true bronze metallic)
- So, So Hot (medium ruby metallic)
- Chai Times (deep cranberry matte)
- Cocoa Glow (dark warm brown matte)
- Bonfire Babes (deep bronze metallic)
- Sandy Cheeks (brown olive shimmer)
- Black Sand (soft black matte)
It looks like the palette could possibly contain pressed glitters, as four of the shadows appear to have a pressed glitter texture, with three standard shimmer shades and then eight buttery matte shadows too.
In addition to the Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Eyeshadow Palette, the collection will also feature a brand new formula of their iconic powder bronzers too, but they won’t launch until May, in time for Summer.
The bestselling amazing Chocolate Soleil Bronzers are having a special upgrade, with them being the first clean makeup formula for Too Faced.
With the cocoa powder infused powder bronzers having a nearly 97% naturally derived ingredients list, and two universal shades; Golden Cocoa (a light golden bronze shade) and also Caramel Cocoa (a golden tan bronze shade).
As well as the Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Eyeshadow Palette, and the new bronzers, there are four new additions to the Lip Injection Extreme Collection too.
There are four new iridescent shades of their Lip Injection Maximum Gloss, featuring nourishing avocado and jojoba oils to soothe chapped lips, boosting the volume of the lips, and leaving a pretty sparkle in the following shades; Yummy Bear, Creamsicle Tickle, Cotton Candy Kisses and Blueberry Buzz.
