Tom Ford Rose Prick Body Heat Eye Color Quad Review / Swatches

The Tom Ford Rose Prick Body Heat Eye Color Quad launched at the start of the year, as part of a Tom Ford Rose Prick collection.

The collection started off as just the Rose Prick Eau de Parfum, which was a massive bestseller for the brand, which then inspired a whole namesake collection.

Tom Ford Rose Prick Body Heat Eye Color Quad

I own a few Tom Ford lipsticks, and cream eyeshadows, but I’d never tried one of their quads. So I felt like the special and limited edition Tom Ford Rose Prick Body Heat Eye Color Quad was my perfect starter palette.

The Tom Ford quads are always so highly sought after, and the Tom Ford Rose Prick Body Heat Eye Color Quad was no different.

When it first launched in January, it sold out in a matter of hours as I was gutted to have missed out. However, it’s since been restocked, so I was finally able to get my hands on the beautiful and limited edition quad.

Whilst the Tom Ford Rose Prick Body Heat Eye Color Quad is new and limited edition, the shades inside the quad are not. The Body Heat Eye Color Quad is part of the brand’s permanent collection, except the packaging has had a special Rose Prick makeover.

The quad is a beautiful pastel pink colour, with a matte finish to complement the matching colour and finish of the Rose Prick Eau de Parfum.

It’s such a pretty, feminine design for a palette, and again, I feel like it complements the matte black velvet pouch which comes with the quad perfectly.

Inside the quad, there are four large powder eyeshadows, a generously sized mirror and two dual ended applicators. Both applicators have a rounded yet flat sponge applicator, and one has a small angled brush on the other end, whilst the other applicator has a pointed sponge tip applicator.

I feel like sponge tip applicators in such a luxury eyeshadow quad feels a little strange. It’d be better if they were just brushes, or were skipped from the quad entirely, as they’re not the most effective method for application of the shades.

The Tom Ford Rose Prick Body Heat Eye Color Quad features four baked eyeshadows, each of which have a TF engraved into the pans for a luxurious extra touch.

Tom Ford describes the four shades within the Tom Ford Rose Prick Body Heat Eye Color Quad as being;

  • Silky Champagne
  • Sultry Russet
  • Shimmering Taupe
  • Hot Blooded Brown

All four shades contain beautiful, finely milled shimmer with an extremely soft and silky formula which is effortless to apply and blend. I love that the quad includes both warm and cool tones, and that the quad includes a deep dark brown to add intensity and depth to your makeup looks.

There’s no denying the Tom Ford Rose Prick Body Heat Eye Color Quad, like all of the Tom Ford quads, is expensive for four shadows, but the quality really is fantastic, and all four shades look stunning on the eyes.

I’m so happy I bought this particular Tom Ford quad as the packaging is so special, but I’m sure the colours would be very easy to dupe as they’re not massively unique in terms of colours.

I would definitely try more Tom Ford quads in the future, and for me, the Tom Ford Rose Prick Body Heat Eye Color Quad is the perfect neutral to neutral smokey eyeshadow palette, and it’s fast become one of my favourite palettes.
