The theBalm Lid-Quid Sparkling Liquid Eyeshadow collection has launched! If you like liquid eyeshadows with lots of sparkle, these new eyeshadows are for you. I feel like theBalm used to be a really raved about brand across social media maybe 3-4 years ago with their Mary Lou Manizer and Nude Tude Eyeshadow Palette, but they feel as if they’ve somewhat fallen off the map a little.
I don’t know why as they’re still a great brand but their posts rarely make 5000 likes on Instagram even though they have 2.5 million followers working at just 0.2% engagement. Whereas Revolution have the same number of followers but their posts regularly get between 10-50,000 likes, and hundreds of comments.
theBalm Lid-Quid Sparkling Liquid Eyeshadow
The theBalm Lid-Quid Sparkling Liquid Eyeshadow is a beautiful, buildable and blendable liquid eyeshadow. It’s infused with juicy sparkle, and is long wearing, creaseless and versatile formula.
WATER ((AQUA) EAU), CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, MICA, CALCIUM SODIUM BOROSILICATE, METHYL METHACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER, OLEA EUROPAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL, DIMETHICONE/VINYL DIMETHICONE CROSSPOLYMER, PEG-10 DIMETHICONE, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, CETYL PEG/PPG-10/1 DIMETHICONE, SODIUM BENZOATE, GLUCONOLACTONE, TOCOPHEROL, SODIUM CHLORIDE, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE POWDER, DISODIUM EDTA, TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77891), IRON OXIDE (CI 77491).
The theBalm Lid-Quid Sparkling Liquid Eyeshadow collection launched on the 20th of January, but they’ve not launched in the UK yet. Hopefully it means they’ll be launching very soon, but they’re currently $14 per shade in the US. There are six different shades, and they all have cocktail / alcoholic drink inspired names to complement the ‘sparkling’ theme;
- Lavender Mimosa
- Strawberry Daiquiri
- Irish Coffee
They do look very pretty, especially Rosé and Bellini. Each of the eyeshadows contain 4.5ml of product in a clear plastic tube, with a silver lid and doefoot applicator.
Looking at the swatches, the theBalm Lid-Quid Sparkling Liquid Eyeshadow collection look as if they’re perhaps more shimmer than glitter compared to the likes of the Stila Glitter and Glow Eyeshadows. theBalm recommend using their Flat Eyeshadow Brush for applying the new liquid eyeshadows, but any flat eyeshadow brush would work just as well.
