There’s a brand new addition to the ever growing Tarte Shape collection, and it’s the Tarte Shape Tape Sculpt Tape Contour.
It all started with the bestselling Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, and since the original concealer launched, there are now 54 products within the Shape Tape collection.
Tarte Shape Tape Sculpt Tape Contour
The Tarte Shape Tape Sculpt Tape Contour is a liquid contour pen, which looks remarkably similar to the very popular Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Pen – the packaging is identical.
It looks like Tarte might be taking a lot of inspiration from Charlotte Tilbury as a brand right now, as their previous new launch; the Tarte SEA Glowlight Skin Filter was identical to the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter.
The Tarte Sculpt Tape Contour is housed within a plastic, squeezy tube in a pen format, with a cushion tip, where you twist the top section, and the liquid contour product is then pushed through the cushion, so you can apply the cushion directly to the skin.
Tarte are marketing this new launch as being an instant face lift in a tube. With the cushion tip, allowing for a no-mess, precise application. So, you can create instant definition for the look of a more defined face, and high cheekbones.
It’s super simple to use, in that you dot and blend along the areas you wish to contour, such as the hollows of the cheeks, the sides of your forehead, your jawline and your nose.
Tarte have formulated their new liquid contour with porcelain flower extract, shea butter ethyl esters, licorice root extract, mineral pigments, and diamond powder. As well as mango butter and shea butter, to help smooth and blur the look of fine lines, or imperfections.
Underneath the cushion tip, there’s a twistable section, which works as a lock, and Tarte recommend locking the tube back up, after use, to prevent the product from drying out.
Key Ingredients
- porcelain flower: brightens & moisturizes
- mineral pigments: sooth & soften skin’s appearance
- shea butter: moisturizes & conditions
- licorice root: brightens & color corrects
- diamond powder: helps blur imperfections
Directions
- Twist from “off” to “on” to unlock.
- Place three dots right above each of your cheekbones and across your forehead.
- Blend upward in circular motions with the brush, taking whatever is left on the brush and applying to the jawline and nose for an extra sculpted look.
- Twist from “on” to “off” to lock shut after using.
There are five shades of the Tarte Shape Tape Sculpt Tape Contour to choose from, and it’s $35 / £34, containing 12 mL / 0.4 Fl. Oz of product within the tube. The five shades on offer are;
- Soft Bronze: porcelain to fair-light skin tones.
- Cool Bronze: light to light-medium skin tones.
- Warm Bronze: medium to tan skin tones.
- Deep Bronze: tan-deep to deep skin tones.
- Rich Bronze: rich to espresso skin tones.
Whilst it looks like the Tarte Shape Tape Sculpt Tape Contour is actually a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand, the Tarte version has five shades to choose from, whereas the Charlotte Tilbury version only has two shades, so Tarte has done a much better job with their shade range, and it’s available right now.
