Tarte launched their SEA collection this week, which as you can probably guess, is all inspired by the sea. One of the products within the collection is the Tarte Sea Set and Go Mineral Powder, but they already have sea inspired products such as the Rainforest of the Sea range.
If you’d like to know more about this new vegan Tarte Sea Set and Go Mineral Powder, keep on reading.
Tarte Sea Set and Go Mineral Powder
The Tarte Sea Set and Go Mineral Powder is a vegan, brush on setting powder that claims to set your makeup for 12 hours, in easy to use packaging.
Allowing you to brush on effortlessly, and set your makeup without a chalky finish. With a lightweight formula that never feels greasy, and keeps your hands clean – plus it has a vanilla scent.
Directions
- Press bottom button to dispense powder into brush.
- Remove cap & sweep bristles onto face to set makeup for 12 hours
Ingredients
Polymethylsilsesquioxane, silica, jojoba esters, caprylyl glycol, alumina, sodium dehydroacetate, phenoxyethanol, vanillin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, hexylene glycol, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, aluminum dimyristate, triethoxycaprylylsilane, disodium stearoyl glutamate, mica, iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), zinc Oxide (CI 77947), titanium dioxide (CI 77891).
The Tarte Sea Set and Go Mineral Powder is essentially a powder brush, with a cartridge containing setting powder within it. To use the powder, you have to press the button on the base of the ‘brush’ and that then pushes powder through the bristles of the brush for you to then use on your face to set your makeup.
It’s a really great idea for on the go, as you don’t have to worry about the mess of a loose powder, and powder brush in your makeup bag as you have this one product that works as both.
Sometimes products like these aren’t necessarily the best value for money as it’s more about the convenience, but you get 8 grams of product which isn’t too bad at all. It is £28, but you’re getting 8g of powder, and a high quality makeup brush.
There is only one version of the Tarte Sea Set and Go Mineral Powder, and there’s no mention of shades anywhere but if you look at the colour of the powder on the brushes in the image above, there is definitely a tint to the powder.
Now this might not be an issue for many of us, but if you’re super pale, it might be too deep for you, and those with deeper skintones may find it leaves a white cast on the skin.
I don’t think we’ll know for sure until the reviews start appearing, but it’s just something to bear in mind, as Tarte isn’t a brand we can ever test prior to purchase, here in the UK. In the US, I know they have samples in stores like ULTA but sadly that’s not the case for us in the UK, but the Tarte Sea Set and Go Mineral Powder is available on the Tarte website right now.
