Roen Beauty Mood 4 Ever Eyeshadow Palette Review / Swatches

The Roen Beauty Mood 4 Ever Eyeshadow Palette launched back in May of last year, and I couldn’t wait to pick it up. I’m a really big fan of Roen Beauty as a brand, and I’ve only been disappointed by one of their products (the single ROEN Disco Eye Shadow), so I was excited to see what the quality of the palette was like.

This HERO palette was designed with four flattering and harmonious shadows that will quickly become your go-to palette for every mood and occasion. The Roen Beauty Mood 4 Ever Eyeshadow Palette is a four-pan eyeshadow palette, packaged within a gunmetal compact, and the palette comes with a white velvet pouch, just like all of the Roen Beauty Palettes.

Roen Beauty claim the shades inside this palette have been meticulously designed to be worn alone or to seamlessly blend, layer and mix. These buildable eyeshadows offer a long-lasting illuminating effect you are guaranteed to adore.

Inside the Roen Beauty Mood 4 Ever Eyeshadow Palette, there are four cream eyeshadows in two different formulas. The first shade is a sheer, more luminous shade for a subtle glow, whereas the other three are considerably more pigmented. Here are the shade descriptions from Roen Beauty;

  • CREMA: ivory cream
  • ELATED: shimmery peachy-pink
  • IMPRESSIONS: sparkling maroon
  • TOASTY: translucent-shimmery taupe

These swatches are done with three swipes each, as it took three swipes to get full opacity, but on the eyes you never need to apply three layers. I just wanted to do a good job at showing what the shades looked like colour wise.

As you can see, Crema isn’t very noticeable in the swatches, but it’s the kind of shade you can swipe on the lids and go. It doesn’t need to be meticulously blended, but it adds ‘something’ to the lids on your more minimal makeup days.

For me, the special shades in the Roen Beauty Mood 4 Ever Eyeshadow Palette are the other three; Toasty, Impressions and Elated, which almost look like liquid metals on the eyelids. They look gorgeous worn alone, or blended together, and even though they’re super emollient and creamy, I never have issues with creasing or transferring.

The photos on the Roen Beauty website (here) show this palette as being pretty much a gold palette, but in reality, it’s actually more bronze and copper, so it just goes to show how different products can look compared to brand photos.

I’m not at all disappointed the shades look completely different, as I actually prefer the reddy tones of these shades, but it’s just so strange how different the Roen Beauty Mood 4 Ever Eyeshadow Palette looks in real life, but I absolutely love it, and I have other Roen Beauty palettes to share with you very soon.
