I’ve already done an unboxing on the Revolution Deluxe Advent Calendar, and also the I Heart Revolution 12 Days of Chocolate Advent Calendar, and today I have the You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar to unbox and swatch for you.

Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021

The Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021 is £40 / $55, however the contents inside this particular calendar are said to be worth £87, so of course, you’re making an amazing saving.

There are so many different advent calendars available from Revolution this year, from all of their sister brands, however this specific calendar is the main Revolution advent calendar this year, and it features the brand’s tag line; You Are The Revolution. 

I just love the design of the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021 – it’s gorgeous, with a pink, rose gold and white marble design, which features on the outside of the calendar, but also on the inside.

This is a twenty-five-day calendar, with different shaped boxes, and each of the boxes have different colours and finishes, with marble, rose gold, gold, and cream with gold foil boxes. It’s aesthetically beautiful, and it looks a lot more luxe than a £40 advent calendar. Let’s get on to the unboxing, swatches, and the giveaway at the end of the post. 

The first product inside the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021, is the Revolution Matte Lipstick in the shade Slow. The packaging design of this lipstick is a throwback to their old Amazing Lipstick collection.

This is the perfect matte, red lipstick for Christmas, and it has a beautiful blue undertone, making it flattering for all skintones and ages. Cool toned red lipsticks are my favourite kind of red, and this lipstick is intensely pigmented, and it stains the lips too, for a super long wearing red lip.

Next in the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021 is the Revolution Liquid Eyeshadow in the shade Mercury. This is a stunning liquid eyeshadow, in a platinum silver shade, which is so metallic and pigmented.

I wish these were part of the Revolution main range, as the formula is lovely too. It can be worn in a couple of layers for an opaque effect, or you can use your finger to dab it over the top of powder shadow for extra sparkle. 

We have another lip product next, and it’s the Revolution Lip Gloss in the shade Strobe. It’s one of those squeezy plastic tube glosses, with a slanted applicator. It’s a clear gloss, but it’s loaded with multidimensional pink and gold shimmer, which really catch the light. It’s the perfect gloss for topping absolutely any lip colour. 

Next is the Revolution Condition Highlighter Powder, and it’s housed within a super pretty marble print compact, to complement the marble print design on the calendar. This shade is a metallic peach, which is too deep for my skintone as a highlighter, but it works beautifully as an eyeshadow too. It has a lovely, smooth and finely milled formula, without any glitter and it doesn’t emphasise lines or texture.

The next product in the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021 is the Revolution Brow Gel, and it’s a clear brow gel with 4.5ml of product, which is a decent amount for a clear brow gel. The gel features a tiny, tapered brush for precise application, and because it’s clear, it’ll work with all brow colours. 

Day 6 of the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021 features the Revolution Clear Brow Crayon, and it’s designed to work as a brow wax, helping you to keep your brows in place. If you’re using a powder or pencil to fill in your brows, a clear brow crayon doubles up as a primer, to prevent fading, and again, it’s a product which works for every brow colour. 

Day 7 of the calendar features the most perfect lip liner to match the lipstick from day one, and it’s the Revolution Lip Liner in the shade Baby . It’s a bright red lip liner, but as it has a pink undertone, it would work well with both pink and red lipsticks. As you can see from these one stroke swatches, it’s intensely pigmented, creamy and so smooth. 

One of my favourite products inside the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021 is next for day 8, and it’s the Revolution Honey Honey Eyeshadow Palette. It’s a four-pan eyeshadow quad, with the same rose gold foil marble print as the powder highlighter. 

I think Revolution were inspired by one of my all-time favourite eyeshadow palettes; the Huda Beauty Smokey Obsessions Mini Palette, in fact, I’d even go as far to say, the four shades in this quad are dupes for four shades in the Huda Palette.

The pigmentation is just as good, which is crazy considering that palette is £25, and you’re getting 25 quality products for £40. Just look at those swatches?! They are single swipes of each shade with no primer. They are amazing eyeshadows!!!

We have a beauty tool for day 9, and it’s the Revolution Blending Sponge. It’s plain black, and has a teardrop design. This is the softest Revolution beauty sponge I’ve tried – and I’ve tried a lot. 

We have another beauty tool for day 10 of the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021, and it’s the Revolution Angled Eyeliner Brush. There’s a few brushes inside the calendar, and they all have rose gold metallic handles, rose gold ferrules and baby pink and white bristles.

Next is another lip product, and it’s the Revolution Matte Lipstick in the shade Baby, which is the same shade as the lip liner we got a few days previous. The Baby shade is a deep pink, which is just as creamy as the red shade; Slow, and it’s not at all drying like some matte lipsticks can be. 

We have a gloss next for day 12, and it’s the Revolution Lip Gloss in the shade Slow, which is the shade of the lipstick from day 1. I love how cohesive this calendar is. It’s not like some brands that just chuck a load of random shades in the calendar. Instead, Revolution have included matching liners, lipsticks and glosses – I love it!

There’s another gloss for day 13, and I wish the glosses were a little more spaced out, so we didn’t get lip glosses two days in a row. This is the Revolution Lip Gloss in the shade Sugar Jam, it really does like the colour of jam from a doughnut, with a pretty pink hue, and a glass-like shine on the lips. 

The next product in the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021, is the Revolution Eyeliner Pencil, and there’s no shade name, but it’s a very intense matte black. I included some single stroke swatches, and also a smudged out swatch to show you how intensely creamy and blendable it is. 

It’s so super pigmented, and creamy. I don’t love wooden eyeliner pencils, as they can be a little too firm on the eyes, but not this eyeliner. It glides across the lids and waterlines with zero tugging!

We next have another makeup brush, and this time it’s the Revolution Eyeshadow Brush, with the same metallic rose gold ferrule and handle, and baby pink and white bristles. 

I don’t think it’d be a Revolution calendar without the Revolution Eyeshadow Primer, and they include this in every single calendar. It’s a pale cream primer, which sets to a sticky finish, to help your eyeshadows adhere, and to prolong their longevity.

Next is a Revolution Mirror, and it’s a pretty one, with the same pink and rose gold foil marble design as the rest of the calendar. I know people moan about these all the time, but we all use mirrors, and this particular design is so pretty.

The next item in the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021 is the Revolution Brow Definer Pencil in the shade Medium. Brow pencils are not going to match everyone, but Medium is a medium brown, so if you can’t use it in your brows, you could use it as an eyeliner pencil instead.

I’m very happy that day 19 features another of the liquid eyeshadows, as they’re amazing. It’s the Revolution Liquid Eyeshadow in the shade Gold Dance. It’s the prettiest warm chocolate brown with silver shimmer, and it looks so sparkly and beautiful on the eyes. It’s opaque, too, and doesn’t need building up like the Mercury Silver shade.

Next in the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021, is a product for the cheeks, and it’s the Revolution Powder Blusher in the shade Flirt. Like the highlighter and the eyeshadow quad, the blush compact has a rose gold marble print, which looks so pretty. This blush is a super bright and vibrant pink, and it has a matte finish. 

The next brush in the calendar is the Revolution Concealer Brush.

For day 22 of the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021, we have another lip gloss. This time, it’s the Revolution Lip Gloss in the shade Covert. This shade is very similar to the other lip gloss shades in the calendar, as they’re all pinky red shades looking very similar on the lips, so it would be nice to have more variation, but it’s pretty nonetheless. 

On to day 23, we have another cheek product, and it’s the Revolution Shape Contour Powder, in a marble print compact. This is a very deep, matte brown which will only work as a contour for medium to dark skintones, but lighter skintones like mine can use it as an eyeshadow or a brow powder, if it matches your brows of course.

For Christmas Eve, the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021 features another makeup brush, and this one is the Revolution Small Powder Brush.

It’s Christmas Day, and for day 25 of the Revolution You Are The Revolution Advent Calendar 2021 features a full-sized palette. It’s the Revolution You’re A Winner Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette, which is the perfect way to round of the You Are the Revolution Advent Calendar. It’s a very pigmented palette, with some gorgeous foiled shades, duochromes, mattes and shimmers. There’s not one disappointing shade in the whole palette, and it’s the perfect product for day 25.
