Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration Review, Swatches PLUS GIVEAWAY!

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

The Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration is an exciting collection as it’s a sequel collection to last year’s Nightmare Before Christmas collection, which was an instant sell out.

The Corpse Bride is the second movie in the three movie series by Tim Burton, and there was a lot of pressure on Revolution to nail the collection, as it’s such a popular and well loved property.

I have all of the products within the Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration to share with you today, and in total there’s ten different products, with a mixture of makeup and merch, and the packaging on everything is just amazing.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration Review, Swatches PLUS GIVEAWAY!

First up in the Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration is the Revolution x The Corpse Bride Mirror, £10 / $15. We saw a cute hand mirror launch as part of the DC Collection, and as soon as I saw the mirror, I knew I had to have it, as it looked amazing in the promotional images, but it’s even better in ‘real’ life.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration Review, Swatches PLUS GIVEAWAY!

This mystical Revolution x Corpse Bride Handheld Mirror is an essential for any Corpse Bride superfan! Beautifully adorned with the vines of the forest and a portrait of the newly weds, Victor and Emily, this mirror is the perfect size for a full view of your face, or for focusing on one area at a time.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration Review, Swatches PLUS GIVEAWAY!

The Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration is a pale grey colour, with a spooky tree branch pattern all over the handle, and there’s an image of Victor and Emily in the centre of the mirror.

It’s so cool and eerie, but it’s super nice quality, with a very decent sized mirror. It’s much bigger than the ColourPop handheld mirrors, which are tiny, so this one is much better in my opinion.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

One of the quickest to sell out items from the Nightmare Before Christmas collaboration were the two makeup bags, so of course the Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration was going to feature at least one.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

There is just one makeup bag, and it’s the adorable Scraps Makeup Bag. It’s $12 / £8, and is completely clear, with cute Scraps the dog skeletons all over the bag.

The bag has blue accent, and blue stitching, and there’s even a blue chrome bone shaped charm on the zip which is adorable.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

The Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration Scraps Makeup Bag is a really generous size too, and can fit all three lipsticks and the two nine pan eyeshadow palettes inside with room to spare.

So for £8 it’s a super cute yet roomy makeup bag. I like that because it’s clear, you can see what’s inside the bag easily without having to dig around to find what you’re looking for.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

Next in the Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration, is one of my personal favourite items in the collection, and it’s the Revolution x Corpse Bride Brush Set.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

Including four beautiful brushes, to highlight, blend, contour and define your way to dreamy makeup looks, day or night. With handle-designs inspired by your favourite characters, and super-soft, black-blue ombre bristles, its only right to give these brushes their own roll-out carry case to keep them safe on the go.”

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

The Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration Brush Set includes four full sized makeup brushes, and a blue faux leather makeup brush wrap.

Inside the wrap, there’s four elasticated loops, to hold your brushes securely in place, and it nicely cushions and protects the brushes during travel too. Included within the brush set, there are the following four brushes;

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

Powder Brush

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

Foundation Brush

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

Eyeshadow Shader Brush

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

Angled Liner Brush

Each of the four brushes in the Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration Brush Set have glossy black plastic handles, with blue metallic ferrules and black to blue ombre bristles.

They’re very soft, and well made. Each of the handles features different characters from the movie, including Maggot, and they’re some of the nicest Revolution brushes I’ve tried.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

Next up in the Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration, are three lipsticks. There’s a lipstick for three of the main characters from the movie; Victor, Victoria and Emily.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

Each of the lipsticks is £5 / $7, and are housed within matte black plastic casing, with blue foil names written on each lipstick for the three characters.

On the lids of each lipstick, the eerie tree branch design features, just like the design on the hand mirror.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

The lipsticks just look amazing, with incredible attention to detail. The original Nightmare Before Christmas collection featured lip glosses, so it’s exciting to see that there’s lipsticks within this collection, as it’s a little different.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

Each of the three lipsticks in the Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration, have chrome blue accents, and the lipsticks bullets all feature a skull embossed pattern on them, which again is a nice extra touch.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

Victor Lipstick

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

Victoria Lipstick

Emily Lipstick

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

All three shades of the Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration Lipsticks are intensely pigmented, with opaque coverage in just two swipes.

They all have a satin finish, with Victor being a brown toned nude, Victoria is a neutral toned bright red and Emily is a bright warm toned pink.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

The last four products in the collection are all eyeshadow palettes, and there’s four palettes in total.

The first of the Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration Palettes is the most amazing Revolution x Corpse Bride Butterfly Eyeshadow Palette, which is £15 / $20, and it has an amazing butterfly shaped design.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

The Revolution x Corpse Bride Butterfly shadow palette is the palette of dreams. Spread your wings and set your creativity free, with the beautiful array of purple, pink and blue shades, perfect for creating everyday looks, wedding guest makeup or Halloween transformations.”

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

The Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration Butterfly Palette has a butterfly shape, and it looks stunning, with a gothic design on the inside of the palette too.

There’s sixteen powder shadows in total, with all of the shades being individually named.

The next palettes in the Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration are the two nine-pan palettes, which come in tin style packaging.

Each of the two palettes are £10 / $12, and the shades inside are themed around the colours on the packaging.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

The last palette and product in the Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration is the Upstairs Downstairs Palette, which is a large palette featuring twenty-four powder shadows in a cardboard design, with a lid which has a split in the middle, and opens up to reveal the shadows.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

Featuring 24 eye-popping shades from warm to cool hues that will suit any skin tone, this palette is a must for any Corpse Bride fan to create the ultimate Halloween transformation. This palette, split between the two worlds, is embossed with Emily’s beautiful butterflies.

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

The Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration Upstairs Downstairs Palette is designed to represent the two worlds, and there’s two quotes inside the palette written in blue foil font.

Each of the shades is individually named, and the eerie black branch pattern features on the entirety of the inside of the palette. Let’s take a look at all twenty-four swatches…

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

  • Scraps
  • Candle
  • Upstairs
  • The Rings

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

  • Van Dort
  • Everglot
  • Lord Barkis
  • Town Crier

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

  • With This Hand
  • Vows
  • Eldar Gutknecht
  • Moonlight

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

  • Downstairs
  • Butterfly
  • To Plan

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

  • Mayhew
  • The Wedding
  • Betrayal
  • Bouquet

Revolution x Corpse Bride Collaboration

  • Freedom
  • True Love
  • Poison
  • Underworld

I can’t believe how pigmented all four palettes are. There are no disappointing shades, which is amazing, especially when there’s so many blues and purples, as they’re notorious for being difficult to formulate.

Just look how pigmented everything is. All four palettes are beautiful, and represent the Corpse Bride movie perfectly.
