Another day, another Revolution new launch. This time it’s the Revolution Viva Neon Palette Collection that are launching under the main Revolution brand.
This week saw the launch of XX Revolution; their more luxe sister brand with elevated prices, but if you prefer their ordinary range of affordable makeup, these palettes will be perfect for you.
Revolution Viva Neon Palette Collection
The Revolution Viva Neon Palette Collection consists of four different palettes, each of which feature nine powder shadows. These palettes are part of a neon, festival themed collection with glitters and uv nail polishes too.
Each of the palettes are £6 each, with nine powder eyeshadows. The pans each contain 1.25g of product which isn’t bad, and the neon acrylic packaging does look fab!
The Revolution Viva Neon Palette Collection are very obviously inspired by the amazing Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Palettes, which feature nine super bright and vibrant neon shades. The Huda Palettes also have the prettiest neon translucent packaging too.
Right now, we only have these stock photos to go by, but I’m a little confused in all honesty. The Revolution Viva Neon Palette Collection feature neon coloured packaging, but they don’t contain neon shades?
The issue with neon shadows, is their tendency to stain the eyes so many brands place warnings on their products advising customers not to use the shades on their immediate eye area.
Now, that could be the reason Revolution chose to go down the route of bright shades rather than neons, in order that they’re eye safe but there’s a max two neons per palette, and two have zero neons at all?
The four palettes within the Revolution Viva Neon Palette Collection are;
- Party Vibes
- Not a Dream
- Up All Night
- Electric Dreams
The lack of neons within the Revolution Viva Neon Palette Collection is disappointing, especially as Lottie London launches two incredible neon eyeshadow palettes on the 2nd of May.
They are very neon and very good quality so if you are looking for a genuine neon drugstore palette, Lottie London x Laila Loves Neon Palettes are a much better option.
Another option if you’re in need of a genuine neon palette, are the W7 Vivid Dreams palettes. They are visually identical to the Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Palettes but they’re only a fraction of the price.
