According to Revolution, their description of ceramides is;

Ceramides, simply put, are long-chain fatty acids (lipids) that make up around 50% of the skin’s composition – they’re essential for building structures in the skin, basically a glue that binds the skin together. The skin barrier is one of our first lines of defence in the skin – it controls what goes in and out, including water and cosmetics.

Now we know what ceramides are, what are the benefits of the Revolution Skincare Ceramides Collection

There are five products in the range, and they each contain five ceramides for maximum protection and nourishment, and are dermatologist approved. They claim to offer 24 hour moisturisation, are non-comedogenic, fragrance free and hypoallergenic too.

Within the Revolution Skincare Ceramides Collection, there are five different products with three cleansers, a moisture lotion and also a moisture cream.

All of the products are priced at £9, and feature a sleek white bottle or tube design, with a brightly coloured panel. I like how cohesive the products all look as a range, and let’s take a look at the individual products within the collection.

The first two products within the collection are the moisturisers, one of which is the Moisture Lotion, and the other is the Moisture Cream.

Revolution describes the Moisture Lotion as being the lighter formula, whereas the Moisture Cream is a richer formula, so it’s great if your skin is sensitive or your skin barrier is damaged.

The Revolution Skincare Ceramides Collection then features three different cleansers, designed to treat different skin types; Normal to Oily, Dry and Normal to Dry, so there’s a cleanser for everyone.

All three cleansers contain hyaluronic acid, but they each contain additional skincare ingredients to treat the different skin types.

Suitable for all skin types and powered by 5 ceramides, the Revolution Skincare Ceramides Foaming Cleanser contains power duo hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, for a hydrating, pore-refining cleanse.

The Revolution Skincare Ceramides Smoothing Cleanser contains salicylic acid, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide – a super team of skincare ingredients that hydrate, smooth, control oil, minimise pores and help prevent blemishes.

The Revolution Skincare Ceramides Hydrating Cleanser contains hydrating hero hyaluronic acid, for a deep cleanse that leaves the skin feeling soft, healthy and moisturised.

My skin reacts really well to ceramides, with the Pixi Rose Ceramide Cream being one of my all-time favourite skincare products, so I’m excited to try the new Revolution Skincare Ceramides Hydrating Cleanser, and the Revolution Skincare Ceramides Moisture Cream, all of which are available right now.
