The Laneige Lip Sleeping Masks are one of my favourite overnight lip treatments, so when the Revolution Skincare Bon Bon Lip Sleeping Mask launched, I knew I had to try it, to see how it compared to my favourite Laneige version.
There’s no doubt the Bon Bon version of the Revolution Lip Sleeping Mask is attempting to dupe the Laneige Sweet Candy Lip Sleeping Mask, which isn’t available to purchase in the UK, so I had high hopes that it would be a dupe.
“Wake up to the softest, sweetest and most supple lips with the Revolution Skincare Bon Bon Lip Sleeping Mask.
Inspired by K-beauty, this luxuriously rich overnight lip mask works its magic whilst you slumber(because your lips deserve a pamper, too). Deeply nourishing dry, cracked lips with Castor Seed Oil and Shea Butter, this formula comes in a delicious Bon Bon flavour so you can drift off in the sweetest way!“
Revolution launched their Lip Sleeping Masks back in November 2020, in Berry and Vanilla, and they were obviously so popular, the brand has gone on to launch more flavours of the lip mask.
In addition to the Bon Bon flavour which just launched, Revolution also launched a Chocolate Caramel version too, which also sounds delicious.
The Revolution Skincare Bon Bon Lip Sleeping Mask has a sugary sweet scent and taste, and it looks like a deep pink colour in the jar, but it doesn’t impart any colour to the lips.
The Revolution Skincare Bon Bon Lip Sleeping Mask has a thin, glossy consistency just like the Laneige version, and it works exactly in the same way.
Some lip masks sit on the surface of the lips, without actually penetrating the lips, but this one does. After around fifteen minutes, the balm has fully absorbed and the transformation of the lips is incredible for a £6 lip treatment.
I honestly wasn’t expecting very much, as I haven’t found a Revolution lip balm I’ve enjoyed. They tend to be on the greasy side, or end up leaving my lips feeling dryer than they were in the first place, but this Revolution Skincare Bon Bon Lip Sleeping Mask is amazing, and it works wonders on super dry lips, especially now it’s very cold here in the UK.
