Last week Revolution launched five new sprays within their skincare range, including the Revolution Skincare Anti-Bacterial Hydrating Essence Spray.
I have already featured the Revolution Skincare Multi-Use Antibacterial Hand Cleansing Spray, and I wanted to feature the essence spray after seeing a big discussion about the spray within a beauty Facebook group.
Revolution Skincare Anti-Bacterial Hydrating Essence Spray
The five new sprays are £6 each, and the line-up includes;
- Revolution Skincare Anti-Bacterial Hydrating Essence Spray
- Revolution Skincare Base Fix Anti-Bacterial Makeup Fixing Spray
- Revolution Skincare Brush Cleanse Brush Cleansing Spray
- Revolution Skincare Anti-Bacterial Brightening Essence Spray
Before discussing this spray, I just wanted to share the admirable donation the brand have done. To coincide with the launch of their antibacterial sprays, the brand has also announced that they’re donating 30,000 units to those most in urgent need within Kent.
It's amazing that they're donating so many, and I'm sure they'll be gratefully received by those in need.
“The Revolution Skincare Hydrating Anti-Bacterial Essence Spray with Hyaluronic Acid is the perfect way to kill bacteria and refresh throughout the day.
Containing an anti-bacterial agent and Hyaluronic Acid this essence spray helps to keep skin hydrated and sanitised. Hyaluronic Acid helps to bind and retain water in the skin whilst 70% alcohol fights germs.” – Revolution
The Revolution Skincare Anti-Bacterial Hydrating Essence Spray is marketed as being a hydrating essence spray, but it contains 70% alcohol.
You should never spray anything on your face that's 70% alcohol, and I'm mind blown that they'd even create something as potentially harmful as this.
WHO have recommended that hand sanitizers need to contain a greater amount than 60
If this was a hand sanitizer, you'd completely understand the high alcohol content but for a ‘skincare' brand it's unfathomable that this product has been created.
It is admirable that they made such a large donation of products but this product is ridiculous. Don't ever spray anything with 70% alcohol on your face, as you'll seriously harm your skin and I strongly recommend never purchasing this product as it's going to be extremely harmful for your skin.
