It’s Wednesday, which can only mean one thing; a new Revolution launch! The Revolution Pro Ultimate Crystal Adorned Eyeshadow Palette has launched today, after the owner of Revolution sneak peeked an eyeshadow palette with a jewel encrusted lid on his Instagram page. If you’d like to find out all about this new palette, keep on reading..
Revolution Pro Ultimate Crystal Adorned Eyeshadow Palette
At the beginning of the year, Revolution launched their collection of sparkly palettes, all of which feature plastic crystals all over the lid and I reviewed and swatched the Revolution Pro Diamonds and Pearls Ultimate Eye Look Palette right here.
All of the Ultimate Eye Look Palettes contained four shades, however, the Revolution Pro Ultimate Crystal Adorned Eyeshadow Palette features sixteen shades, so it looks like a larger version of the mini quads, and is priced at £20 for 16 x 1.5g shadows. The quads were all £10, so I think £20 is pretty reasonable for twelve more eyeshadows.
It looks like the Revolution Pro Ultimate Crystal Adorned Eyeshadow Palette is one of a few palettes that are perhaps coming our way, and this particular palette is called Adorned, but like the original quads, it’s likely that Revolution will launch more palettes very soon.
The lid of the palette features the same crystal encrusted lid, and has a metallic gold packaging which looks super luxe for a drugstore palette.
“The Revolution Pro Ultimate Crystal Palette in Adorned offers a stunning edit of 16 high-performance rose gold, copper, red, oranges, glitter, matte and neutral shades, creating our most glamorous palette yet.
Formulated to have incredible colour pay off with a velvety-smooth finish, choose to create a gorgeously glam evening look, or simply swipe on your favourite shimmer shade for an effortless easy rose gold eye look.”
I really like the Revolution Diamonds and Pearls quad, but Revolution have been shoving pressed glitters in the newer versions of the palette, and I hate pressed glitters in palettes.
You can’t use pressed glitters on the eyes, as they’re not eye safe, so it feels like a pointless waste of a shade in a palette, and it looks like the Revolution Pro Ultimate Crystal Adorned Eyeshadow Palette features at least one pressed glitter in the shade Aura.
The Revolution Pro Ultimate Crystal Adorned Eyeshadow Palette shades are very pretty, with some super metallic shades which almost look foiled in the swatches shared by Revolution.
I would be tempted to try this palette, as I like the quads so much, and I feel like the colour story in this palette is a little different to your average Revolution neutral palette. It’ll be interesting to see which other palettes are launched within the Ultimate Crystal Eyeshadow Palette collection.
