The Revolution PRO Goddess Glow Finishing Powder and Goddess Glow Fixing Spray are new additions to the Revolution Goddess Glow collection, which used to be just be the Goddess Glow Primer Serum. I’d imagine the Primer Serum being so popular, that it inspired Revolution to create a spin off collection inspired by the primer.

The new Goddess Glow Finishing Powder is available in only two shades;

  • Radiate – subtle gold
  • Splendour – soft copper

I have to admit, I don’t really know what the Revolution PRO Goddess Glow Finishing Powder is supposed to be. If it’s a finishing powder, you’d think it was a setting powder so it’d need to be available in skintone shades.

However, the powder is only available in two shades and those two shades appear to be shimmery shades. I don’t know who would want to apply a shimmery powder all over their face to “finish” their makeup?

Even so, two shades aren’t enough to cater for all skintones. They’ve finally provided swatches and both powders are tinted which makes no sense to me if they’re shimmery like a highlighter? Nobody is going to apply a tinted highlighter all over their face to ‘set’ their makeup.

The Revolution PRO Goddess Glow Finishing Powder is £8 and contains just 6 grams of powder in a circular jar, with a sifter inside and a velour puff for application of the loose powder. I’m a little confused about this product, especially with the following directions;

“simply dust over your complexion, using a brush or the powder puff provided. Damp the brush to intensify the pigment.”

I’m not sure anyone is going to want to use a damp brush to apply a loose setting powder, especially when the powder is shimmery? It’s such a strange product.

It would be amazing if Revolution could create a product that’s comparable to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, but in a loose powder format. I’ll update this post once the Revolution PRO Goddess Glow Finishing Powder is available via the Revolution website, and if swatches are unveiled.
