It looks like there’s another new product about to launch too, as there’s an image on the Revolution website showing the Revolution Pro CC Perfecting Skin Tints alongside a CC Enhancer, so I imagine that’ll be launching shortly too.
The Revolution Pro CC Perfecting Skin Tints has launched today as part of the brand’s base collection, and there are five shades to choose from. There have been quite a few comments on social media complaining about the lack of shades, but this product is marketed as being versatile for different skintones.
“Always wear your perfect shade with this revolutionary new soft-focus skincare-led makeup, the Revolution Pro CC Perfecting Skin Tint.
An innovative and lightweight cream Skin Tint, that boasts a unique shade adapting formula and blends out to suit your skin tone. It’s magic in a tube!
The formulation initially appears white but when rubbed into the skin, tiny micro-encapsulated pigments burst, creating a foundation colour that matches to your skin with a 100% natural looking finish.
Formulated with Vitamin E this product will keep your skin healthy as well as giving high-definition radiance.”
The Revolution Pro CC Perfecting Skin Tints are £12.99 each, and contain 40ml of product within a gold metallic plastic tube. We’ve seen a few foundations launch from Revolution recently with less than 30ml of product which is the industry average for a foundation, so it’s good to see them launch a 40ml size, which is a decent amount of product for the money.
Revolution have created a handy guide to help us find out which shade will match our skintones, as each of the five shades are said to cater for multiple shades of their foundations as they have ‘shade adapting’ technology;
- Revolution Pro CC Perfecting Skin Tint Light (covers foundation shades 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1)
- Revolution Pro CC Perfecting Skin Tint Medium (covers foundation shades 2.5, 3, 5, 5.7)
- Revolution Pro CC Perfecting Skin Tint Tan (covers foundation shades 6.5, 8, 9, 10)
- Revolution Pro CC Perfecting Skin Tint Dark (covers foundation shades 11.2, 11.5, 13, 14.7)
- Revolution Pro CC Perfecting Skin Tint Deep (covers foundation shades 16, 16.5, 17.5, 18)
Let’s take a look at the five shades;
I personally haven’t had the best experiences with products claiming to have shade adjusting technology, as they tend to always turn orange the second you start working them into the skin.
I am tempted to try the ‘Light’ shade as it claims to cater for my shade of their foundations, but the swatches look quite deep, so it’s hard to know. If you are able to find a decent shade match, the Revolution Pro CC Perfecting Skin Tints sounds fab, especially for the summer months, and the five shades are all available right now.
