Have you always wanted to try the iconic Guerlain L'Or Primer but didn't fancy spending £54 for the privilege? Well the Revolution Pro 24K Gold Serum Primer looks like the perfect budget friendly alternative which has launched right here, and I'm totally here for it.
Revolution Pro 24K Gold Serum Primer
The Revolution Pro brand is a Revolution sister brand which is supposed to be their more luxe brand, and it replaced their Freedom brand a couple of years ago.
Since Revolution Pro launched, up until about six months ago, I never found the formulas to be any more superior to their ordinary Revolution brand.
Things changed a few months ago, with the launch of their Ultimate Eye Look Palettes. I bought two of them, and reviewed the Diamonds and Pearls palette here on Makeup Muddle a few weeks ago. The formula is amazing, and better than anything Revolution have created to date.
The Revolution Pro 24K Gold Serum Primer looks to be part of a whole 24K Gold collection, and this primer is £15 which is very expensive for a drugstore primer with just 28ml of product.
I love how luxe the packaging looks, with a clear glass bottle and a gold and black glass pipette dispenser for easy application.
“Prime, hydrate and glow with the Revolution Pro 24K Gold Priming Serum. Infused with plant derived collagen, hyaluronic acid & vitamin B5, this clear primer will glide over the skin and absorb to leave the skin hydrated, feeling plumped and prepped for long-lasting makeup. Plus, the unique gold flecks will give the skin a gorgeous natural-looking glow without feeling heavy or cakey on the skin.“
The Revolution Pro 24K Gold Serum Primer is completely clear, with a gel-like serum consistency and contains lots of beautiful gold flakes which, if anything like the Guerlain primer, helps to brighten and illuminate the complexion.
I have had the Guerlain version in the past, so it'll be interesting to try the Revolution Pro 24K Gold Serum Primer to see how the formulas compare.
The Guerlain version is really quite sticky on the skin, but it really helps your makeup to adhere to the skin for all-day wear, so it'll be interesting to see how this Revolution Pro version compares.
