Revolution IRL Filter Longwear Foundation
Drop the filter! Introducing the Revolution IRL Filter Longwear Foundation! It’s filter in a bottle! This medium to full buildable foundation has a soft focus breathable matte formula and is available in 30 shades. Enriched with niacinamide, it is oil free, shine free, creaseproof, lifeproof and smudgeproof whilst providing 16 hours wear time from day to night.
The Revolution IRL Filter Longwear Foundation is described as having “super coverage” with 20% more pigment (than what I don’t know, Revolution just say “20% more pigment”). This 20% pigment supposedly makes the formula easy to build and blend, allowing to choose the coverage you want.
It’s said to be housed in a “luxe glass bottle”, just like their Conceal and Define Foundation, except this bottle has a frosted glass effect, with a pump dispenser.
This Revolution IRL Filter Longwear Foundation is £10, however you’re only getting 23ml / 0.7 fl. oz of product, which is a lot less than market leading foundations which all have 30ml.
I’m not sure why there’s 7ml less, but if the “20% more pigment” means more than an ordinary foundation, it could suggest you need less product, but the description doesn’t mention that.
Directions
Apply a few pumps (depending on the coverage you would like to achieve) and blend with your fingertips for a light, soft matte finish or apply more layers and blend with Revolution R7 Create Buffing Foundation Brush to build up the coverage.
The Revolution IRL Filter Longwear Foundation is available in 30 shades, although there’s only swatches of 20 shades on their website right now.
Although 30 is a lot better than many drugstore brands, it’s a lot less than the 50 shades of their Conceal and Define Foundation, but what’s good is that the shades are numbered the same way.
So it should be easier to find your shade match if you own any other Revolution foundations, and there’s a handy shade description guide on the Revolution website, which makes it easy to find your perfect shade for your skintone and under, and it’s available right now.
