The Revolution Golden Soul Ultra Blush Palette is one of two new Ultra Blush Palettes which Revolution launched at the end of June, and I knew I had to try them.
When Revolution first launched, they had a whole range of Ultra Blush Palettes, but they haven’t launched a new Ultra Blush Palette in years, and I don’t know why. They’re so affordable, and a great way to try different blush shades, and blend shades together.
“Introducing the newest addition to our blush family, Golden Soul. With 8 exclusive and unique shades in each palette, these colours can be used individually for a simpler look or combined for a more dramatic creation!
With a selection of matte and shimmers, you will be spoilt for choice and will be able to alternate between a shiny shimmer or majestic matte.“
The Revolution Golden Soul Ultra Blush Palette is just £6, which is the price the Ultra Blush Palettes used to be back in the day, so I think it’s great Revolution have kept the same price point as the original palettes. Inside the palette, you get eight powder blushers, each of which contain 1.6g of product.
All of the Ultra Blush Palettes have very plain and basic packaging, which doesn’t bother me, as I like that the price is kept low, but it’s functional, and has a clear lid, so you can easily see which shades are inside the palette.
This Revolution Golden Soul Ultra Blush Palette features a mix of baked blushers and powder blushers in both shimmer and matte finishes.
Golden Soul is the deeper blush palette from the two new palettes, with the other palette being the Golden Desire Palette, which I’ll review very soon. This particular palette would suit deeper skintones, as the shades are all dark and intense.
In terms of formula, the blushers perform just like the original Ultra Blush Palettes. In this specific palette, you get five shimmer shades and three matte shades, which can be used as blushers, bronzers or highlighters depending on your skintone, and for £6 / $9, it’s a bargain!
