Revolution dropped not just a whole collection this week, but a new brand. I’ve done posts on everything except the Revolution Glow Radiance Face & Body Shimmer Oil, so I figured it was time that was rectified and I finally blogged about their new shimmer oil.
Revolution Glow Radiance Face & Body Shimmer Oil
The new Revolution brand is Revolution Glow, and like the name suggests, the brand is all about the products that’ll help your skin glow.
There’s the a Matte Splendour Bronzer, Body Brush, Body Blending Brush, Molten Body Shimmer and Heatwave Eyeshadow Palette to name just a few.
There are going to be more products launching under the Glow umbrella, and I’m guessing there will be products such as false tan, tanning serums, body makeup and more. It’ll be interesting to see which other product launch in the coming weeks / months.
The Revolution Glow Radiance Face & Body Shimmer Oil is £12 and contains 100ml of product in a clear plastic bottle. The bottle does have a pump dispenser, as well as a rose gold coloured plastic cap.
There are four different shades to choose from; Warm Bronze, Pink, Gold and Bronze. Having seen swatches on the Revolution Instagram pages, they’re all quite dark so I think they’re definitely missing some fair skin friendly shades.
Available in 4 shades. Pink is most suitable for light – medium skin tones. Gold is suited to medium skin tones.
Bronze is for medium to dark skin tones and Warm Bronze is for dark to deep dark skin tones.
I’ve seen comments on Instagram, where Revolution fans have asked what the difference is between the Revolution Glow Radiance Face & Body Shimmer Oil and the Revolution Glow Molten Illuminator.
This particular product has a clear oil base, with tonnes of glitter and shimmer suspended within it. You have to shake the Revolution Glow Radiance Face & Body Shimmer Oil to endure the shimmer is blended within the oil.
The Molten Illuminator has a thicker consistency and is essentially a liquid highlighter with a coloured base, saturated with shimmer and this is a lot more concentrated.
You need to love a foil like glow on the skin with the Molten Illuminator as it’s very full on. Whereas the Revolution Glow Radiance Face & Body Shimmer Oil is a lot more subtle in comparison.
Revolution have given the oil a summery coconut and pineapple scent, and they recommend apply it with one of their body blending brushes that they launched within the Glow collection.
