If you haven’t seen my other posts, Revolution launched a new Glass Skin Collection today with ten products. I’ve already featured the Black Ice Shadow Palette, Glass Illuminator, Glass Liquid Skin Illuminating Serum Primer and Glass Shimmer Fix Setting Spray. The Revolution Glass Clear Lip Gloss is another product within the collection, and it’s also launched today.
Revolution Glass Clear Lip Gloss
The Revolution Glass Clear Lip Gloss is described as being an ultra shine clear lip gloss, with a wet look finish which can be used alone for the perfect pout, or with lipstick or liner to give a luscious shine to any colour. The formula hydrates and nourishes lips to keep your pout shining all day long.
Polyisobutene, Paraffinum Liquidum ( Mineral Oil ), Diisostearyl malate, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum ( Fragrance ), Tocopheryl Acetate, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis ( Jojoba ) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Benzyl Alcohol, Hydroxycitronellal, Benzyl Salicylate, Geraniol, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Citronellol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene.
The Revolution Glass Clear Lip Gloss is £5 and is just one single gloss, with not other shades or finishes. When I first saw this gloss, I have to admit I thought it looked very underwhelming as it’s just a clear lip gloss.
But I don’t believe Revolution offer any other clear lip glosses within their range, so it’s something they definitely needed to add to their range. They did add a clear shade to their Pout Bomb range but that’s a plumping gloss, and not a straight up clear gloss.
The packaging of this gloss is identical to the Makeup Obsession Lip Strobes, with clear plastic tubes with slightly rounded corners however the Lip Strobes are £4 and have the most amazing iridescent finish.
The Revolution Glass Clear Lip Gloss has no benefits or bells and whistles, so £5 feels a little too pricey when you consider their I Heart Revolution Glosses are only £3 and they have pigment and delicious scents.
