Whenever Revolution launch something new, it’s never just one product or one shade. They’ve launched a whole Glass collection, with the Revolution Glass Black Ice Shadow Palette being one of two eyeshadow palettes within the collection.

The whole collection is inspired by the popular K Beauty glass skin trend, which has inspired many drugstore brands to create their own glass skin inspired products. The new Revolution collection includes highlighters, fixing sprays and a lot more.

The Revolution Glass Black Ice Shadow Palette is said to be the perfect palette for any smokey or shimmery eye look, with warm browns and rich maroons to pops of bold red, earthy green, and shimmering silver.

The Revolution Glass Black Ice Shadow Palette is £10 and contains fifteen powder eyeshadows. Each of the eyeshadows contain 1.1g of product which is a generous amount, with the palette overall giving you 16.5g.

The palette has chunky metallic packaging, with the lid having a raised faceted design to resemble broken glass. The Black Ice Palette has a metallic black finish to it, and there’s also a Glass Mirror Palette which has silver packaging.

Shades within the Revolution Glass Black Ice Shadow Palette are quite deep and smokey which complements the ‘black’ theme of the palette, with a few pale silvers and greys, four dark greys, a bright orange and a few neutrals.

The orange feels a little out of place in the palette, but I like the colour story within the palette. In terms of finishes, it looks like there’s matte, satin and shimmer finishes.

Revolution have called this the Revolution Glass Black Ice Shadow Palette, as opposed to the ‘Eyeshadow Palette’ so I have a feeling there’s probably a warning on the base of the palette that some shades are not eye safe.

Looking at the shades in the palette, I’d imagine it’s the bright orange in the middle row. Shades as bright and vibrant as that shade, tend to be more pressed pigment than eyeshadows and have a tendency to stain the eyelids. Both palettes in the collection are available right now via the Revolution Beauty website.
