Introducing the Revolution Conceal & Define Oil Priming Serum, created to nourish the skin whilst imparting a demi-matt finish to their bestselling Conceal and Define Foundation.

The serum is formulated with a blend of rosehip oil, peach kernel oil and jojoba oil to nourish and create a silky base that’s perfect for foundation. This oil serum/primer duo is the perfect combination of skincare meets makeup.

The serums come inside metallic rose gold boxes, and have frosted glass bottles. They each have a pump, and a clear lid too. It sounds like a good primer oil to apply before foundation, as the silicones will help your foundation to glide over the skin for a smoother finish.

Revolution suggest layering it with your full coverage foundation for a demi-matte finish which suggests that the Revolution Conceal & Define Oil Priming Serum leaves the skin very glowy.

I’m surprised that the directions recommend applying both morning and night, as you wouldn’t apply a primer at night time. Especially as this ‘priming serum’ contains a lot of silicone, which isn’t something you’d necessarily want to leave on your skin overnight as your slept.

Sure silicone is effective in primers as it aids foundation application, but it’s not really a skincare product just because it contains a few oils. If you’re looking for a better suited product for your evening skincare routine, Revolution have an extensive skincare range which has more appropriate products.
