If you love a gimmick, you’ll love the new Revolution Butterfly Lash Mascara which has launched today as part of the Revolution Precious Glamour Christmas collection. The whole collection is very blingy and very 90s, with palettes, glosses and more.
Revolution Butterfly Lash Mascara
“This is one glam drop you don’t want to miss out on! The Revolution Precious Glamour Collection is your answer to 90’s glam, with lots of bling, stars and butterflies.
Whether you’re rocking around your Christmas tree or having a socially distanced hangout in 2020, this collection will leave you looking utterly gorgeous!“
“The Revolution Butterfly Lash Mascara is a buildable formula that will add volume to lashes for a fanned out, fluttery finish.
Instant glamour wrapped up in stunning rose gold packaging, with a 90’s inspired removable and adjustable butterfly ring.“
The Revolution Butterfly Lash Mascara is £8.99, and is different to your average mascara because it comes with a ring. Yes really. They’ve added a butterfly adjustable ring to the packaging, which can be removed and worn.
I don’t know if we’ve gone back in time, but I really don’t get this. Who honestly wants to wear a ring from their mascara?
The ring is gold, with a chunky butterfly and the band is adjustable so it ‘fits everyone’ which might appeal to teenagers, but it feels like it’s launched in the wrong decade.
I know they’re going for 90’s vibes for this collection, but the ring looks like something you’d find on the cover of one of Mariah Carey’s albums. Ignoring the ring, £8.99 isn’t bad for a mascara but their other mascaras are £6, and there’s no way that ring is worth £3.
You’d be better off buying one of their £6 mascaras if you’re wanting a new mascara, and then heading to Primark and buying a pack of five rings for £3. If you’re onboard with the whole gimmick thing, the mascara is available right now.
