Last year it was all about the brow tints, and 2020 looks like it’s all about the brow pens. The Revolution Bushy Brow Pen is the newest eyebrow launch from Revolution, and joins their extensive range of different brow products, including their Revolution Soap Brow Eyebrow Styler that launched two weeks ago. If you want to know all about this new release, keep on reading..
Revolution Bushy Brow Pen
The Revolution Bushy Brow Pen helps you to fake the microbladed brow look, with a precise and flexible brush tip that allows for fine detailing, helping you to draw individual brow hair to fill in sparse areas or create new shape and definition. Revolution recommend used the product on bare skin, for colour accurate results.
Angled from above, sweep the brush through brows in the direction of the hair growth to draw precise new hairs. For a natural brow look focus on detailing sparse areas, or for a bolder bushy brow extend the natural hairs.
Aqua (water, Eau) , Acrylates Copolymer, Butylene Glycol , Styrene/acrylates Copolymer, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Laureth-21, Sodium Dehydroacetate. May Contain: CI 16035 ( Red 40 ), CI 19140 ( Yellow 5 ), CI 42090 ( Blue 1 ).
From the description, the Revolution Bushy Brow Pen £5 sounds like a forked felt tip pen designed to create hair-like microblade effect strokes throughout the brows. But the nib shows that it’s a solid, angled felt tip nib.
Brow felt tip pens have a tendency to go green, especially brunette shades but Revolution purposely give a warning that the pen shouldn’t be used over the top of skincare to prevent any colour changing.
There are three shades available on their website; Ash Brown, Medium Brown and Dark Brown, however their Revolution Bushy Brow Pen promo photo on the lilac background shows four different colours, so I don’t know if a shade was discontinued or recalled. However, the four shades look almost identical on the swatch photo, except the bottom swatch is a little more red toned.
