Revolution 5D Lash Pow Volumising Mascara | Available NOW!

Revolution has announced the upcoming launch of the Revolution 5D Lash Pow Volumising Mascara, which is their latest mascara to launch their existing range of 37 mascaras – that is a heck of a lot of mascaras. There’s always room for a new mascara, though…

However, we have a super long wait as this mascara won’t be launching until the 30th of December, so if you do want to give it a go, you’ve got a good few weeks until you can.

It looks like Revolution are trying some of ColourPop’s marketing techniques. Usually, Revolution launches a new product on their website with no build-up, unless it’s a licensed collaboration, and people can buy the product/s on the day they launch.

Whereas, ColourPop always preview their new products days/weeks ahead of each launch, which gives the products time to generate interest and hype. Revolution did this for the first time with their brand new Revolutionary fragrances, where they were on the website, before they were available for purchase.

The Revolution 5D Lash Pow Volumising Mascara is £8.99, and appears to come in just one shade; Super Black. In the tube, you get 12.2ml / 0.41 fl.oz of product, which is a very generous amount of product for a mascara.

To give you some context on some market-leading mascaras, The Benefit They’re Real! Mascara contains 8.5ml, Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara contains 8ml, and the YSL Effet Faux Cils Mascara contains 7.5ml, so you’re getting a fantastic deal with the Revolution 5D Lash Pow Volumising Mascara.

So, what makes the Revolution 5D Lash Pow Volumising Mascara so special!? It’s supposedly been expertly designed for lengthening, thickening and giving you that “baddie” volume, with a super-boosting brush won’t let you down.

Revolution’s packaging for this mascara looks kinda innovative, in that you push the lid to release the wand, without twisting the lid like conventional mascaras, thus stopping the formula from becoming dried up.

When it comes to mascaras, brands make wild claims about their life-changing formulas and wands, but really, it’s never really anything unique.

The last super unique mascara I remember was the Rimmel Shake It Fresh Mascara, which had a mechanism within the tube which claimed to refresh the formula.

It wasn’t the best, but I appreciated that Rimmel had tried to do something new, and I’m really intrigued to see how the innovative packaging design will help the Revolution 5D Lash Pow Volumising Mascara perform as well as the claims.

Revolution 5D Lash Pow Volumising Mascara

The Revolution 5D Lash Pow Volumising Mascara has a natural bristle wand, and it looks quite large, with a gentle taper toward the tip. I love natural bristle wands, so the brush looks like one I’d really enjoy using.

Revolution tend to attempt to dupe other brands, but I can’t work out if this specific product is actually duping a higher-end mascara.

It doesn’t look like it’s attempting to dupe anything, so it could just be a Revolution-designed brush, as many brands offer big, bushy natural bristle wands.

The brush doesn’t look particularly unique, as it’s the packaging and the formula which is what supposedly makes this mascara great. If you’re intrigued by the latest Revolution mascara, it’ll be launching on the 30th of December right here
