Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipstick Review / Swatches

The Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipsticks launched back in February last year with 25 shades. It took a while for them to launch in the UK, but when they finally did, I decided to give a few shades a try as the formula sounded really lovely.

Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipstick

Your lips get the full-on glass treatment thanks to high-shine emollients that are pros at reflecting light; they’re brilliant at drenching your lips in the cushiony moisture of a lip balm and the kind of dimensional shine you’d get from the best lip gloss.

The Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipstick claims to wrap the lips in luscious, vibrant colour which doesn’t feather or bleed on the lips.

With a decadent formula with an irresistible buttery feel which instantly melts onto the lips for a super smooth, brilliant colour payoff, thanks to the unique blend of low-melting-point waxes within the formula.

The Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipstick is available in 25 shades, however there’s a much smaller shade range within the UK, which is such a shame, as there are so many pretty shades.

Each of the lipsticks have similar packaging to the original Super Lustrous Lipstick collection, with black and gold casing, and the lipsticks have a slightly rounded, flat bullet, whereas the original Super Lustrous Lipsticks are a conventional bullet lipstick.

This shade is Beaming Strawberry, and I showed you a swatch of one single swipe of the lipstick, and then four swipes, so you can see how sheer the formula is, whilst also showing it’s a little buildable, but it remains a sheer, glossy lipstick.

In terms of comparison, the Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipstick formula reminds me of the old Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters which were discontinued, except this formula is slightly more pigmented.

Both formulas have the same balmy, comfortable finish on the lips, and it’s such a flattering formula even on dry lips, without emphasising dryness.

It’s such an easy-to-wear lipstick formula, and I love a glossy lip, so I’m a big fan, although the wear time isn’t great at around two hours, but they’re so easy to apply, it doesn’t bother me at all and I really hope the shade range is extended in the near future, as I’d love to try more shades.
