Revlon Oil Absorbing Volcanic Roller Review

When the Revlon Oil Absorbing Volcanic Roller launched over a year ago, it went absolutely crazily viral thanks to TikTok.

We are talking many millions of views, and even now, a year later, it’s one of the most viral beauty products, so I decided I had to try it for myself, to see what all the fuss was about?

Revlon Oil Absorbing Volcanic Roller

The Revlon Oil Absorbing Volcanic Roller originally launched in the USA back in March 2020, and it only launched in the UK earlier this year. It’s a strange little thing, and it’s actually a reusable beauty tool which you can wash to reuse.

OK, so what exactly is the Revlon Oil Absorbing Volcanic Roller? It’s a small, hand held face roller and the roller is made from real volcanic stone.

It’s designed to absorb oil and shine from the skin, by simply ‘rolling’ the ball over your face to instantly mattify without disturbing your makeup underneath.

It’s also designed to work as a mini facial massager, and it can be used anywhere to help combat shine. It’s better for the environment than using throwaway blotting sheets, as you can pop the ball out of the handle to wash, and reuse the next day, once it has fully dried.

It honestly couldn’t be easier to use, you just pass the roller ball over the skin, and the oil is instantly absorbed by the rolling volcanic stone ball, and it genuinely is instant.

You can keep rolling until you’ve achieved your desired shine-free finish, and it truly doesn’t move your powder, Foundation or concealer.

I don’t have oily skin, in fact my skin is the complete opposite, and is very dry. However, due to how dry my skin is, I have to use super rich skincare which tends to leave the skin looking very shiny.

The Revlon Oil Absorbing Volcanic Roller works perfectly at minimising the shine, whilst still allowing me to reap the benefits of the richer skincare formulas.

It is pricey for essentially being a small stone ball in a plastic handle, but it works, and it’s something you can use over and over again.

I’m not sure when it’d stop working as you cleanse it every day after use, but it’s a great addition to my skincare routine, and I love a good beauty tool.
