I’ve got a very exciting launch to tell you about, and it’s a foundation! The Revlon ColorStay Light Cover Liquid Foundation has launched today, and we also saw a new powder foundation from L’Oreal today too, so I imagine there’s a few new foundations coming our way.

Revlon ColorStay Light Cover Liquid Foundation
The Revlon ColorStay Light Cover Liquid Foundation is currently a ULTA exclusive, but it appears that it’ll be available at other Revlon stockists very soon. It’s priced at $13.99 which is fair for a Revlon foundation, and the bottle contains 30ml / 1.fl.oz of product.
The Revlon ColorStay Light Cover Liquid Foundation is available in twelve ‘adaptable’ shades which isn’t great. You’d expect a brand like Revlon to deliver on inclusive shade ranges, especially when brands like Revolution do.
I don’t really buy the whole adaptable formula spiel, but hopefully you’ll be able to find a shade match from the twelve shades on offer.
This foundation is part of the Revlon ColorStay collection, which tend to focus on longevity. Described as being an effortless, long wearing fluid foundation, and it’s said to also be buildable, to give you a flawless look that feels fresh for upto twelve hours.
Revlon claims the Revlon ColorStay Light Cover Liquid Foundation perfects the skin ‘the right amount’ by evening out complexions with a range of adaptable shades that disappear into most skin tones, hydrates skin all day, and protects with SPF 34.
I’m not sure you can say 12 shades disappear into most skintones, as there’s definitely going to be more people that can’t make the shades work than those who can. Sheerer foundations tend to be a little more versatile, but the shade range isn’t adequate in 2020.
The Revlon ColorStay Light Cover Liquid Foundation is available in the following shades;
- 130 Porcelain
- 150 Buff
- 110 Ivory
- 210 Creme Brulee
- 220 Natural Beige
- 240 Medium Beige
- 280 Tawny
- 330 Natural Tan
- 440 Caramel
- 510 Cappuccino
- 550 Mocha
- 620 Java
Directions
Shake bottle well before using. Place small dots of foundation on the nose, forehead, cheeks, and chin. No brush? No problem. Effortlessly apply fluid with your fingertips. Pat and blend from the center of your face outward until the foundation is invisible. The formula is buildable for more coverage when you need it.
Ingredients
Isododecane, Aqua/Water/Eau, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Propanediol, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Niacinamide, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Alumina, Phenyl Trimethicone, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Punica Granatum Sterols, 1,2-Hexanediol, Alcohol Denat., Caffeine, Caprylyl Glycol, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethiconol, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Hydrogen Dimethicone, Isoceteth-10, Lecithin, Magnesium Sulfate, Methicone, Mica, Polyglyceryl-3 2 Diisostearate, Polysilicone-11, Propylene Carbonate, Silica, Silica silylate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tocopheryl Acetate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane.
I love the ColorStay foundation, so I have no doubt that I’d enjoy the Revlon ColorStay Light Cover Liquid Foundation too.
I wish the shade range was better, but I like the idea of a plastic bottle which you can shake before use. It looks similar to the DIOR Backstage Foundation in terms of packaging, and claims and is available right now.
