I have seen so many amazing reviews of heated straightening brushes but I’ve never given one a try, so when I was offered the chance to try the Revamp ProGloss Deepform Ceramic Straightening Hair Brush, I couldn’t have been more happy.
My hair is at waist length, it’s very fine but I have masses of it so it takes me ages to straighten my hair with conventional straighteners. My hair is also super frizzy, and is naturally wavy, so straighteners are one of my go-to hair tools whenever I want a sleeker style.
I still remember how revolutionary it felt when I got my first pair of straighteners as a teen. They were BaByliss ones which had a water tank that you filled up, which looking back, was extremely dangerous as it wasn’t a removable tank like you can with stylers like SteamPod straighteners. Straighteners have come a long way since then, and now it’s all about the straightening hairbrushes rather than the conventional two plate hair irons.

I hadn’t ever heard of the Revamp brand before trying the Revamp ProGloss Deepform Ceramic Straightening Hair Brush, so I didn’t know what to expect. I did do some research before I tried the styler just to see what the brand was about, and what else they had on offer.
In addition to this straightening hot brush, they have hair dryers, hair straighteners, curling wands, hot brushes and a lot more. I’m really surprised I’ve never seen them before as they have a pretty extensive product range.

The Revamp ProGloss Deepform Ceramic Straightening Hair Brush is £99.99 and available from Boots. Inside the box it comes with a silicone heatproof mat, as well as the brush itself and an instruction book too.
This brush has really easy controls, with one button for turning it on and off and another for turning the temperature up and down. There’s five lights on the rubberised handle, with a bulb for each temperature; 130°c, 150°c, 170°c, 190°c, and 210°c.
With the highest temperature being 210°c, and it’s very quick and easy to change the temperatures, and it’s great it comes with the heatproof mat, as you can place it down after use without worrying about ruining your dressing table or vanity.
The Revamp ProGloss Deepform Ceramic Straightening Hair Brush is designed to help you achieve silky smooth hairstyles, featuring a combination of hot ceramic bristles and extra-long cool bristles, allowing you to both detangle your hair, whilst styling larger sections of the hair in one go.
Its ceramic bristles are designed to help the brush glide smoothly through the hair, whilst a powerful ionic jet directly integrated within the brush eliminates frizz all the way from the root to the ends. It also features quick start up technology, meaning you don’t have to wait around for the styler to get hot, and its advanced intelligent heat control additionally regulates the temperature for minimum hair damage, which is a great extra feature.
Interestingly enough, the Revamp ProGloss Deepform Ceramic Straightening Hair Brush is infused with Revamp’s Progloss Super Smooth Oils which include Keratin, Argan oil and Coconut oil. This unique combination smooths out cuticles for enhanced shine and lustre.
The Revamp ProGloss Deepform Ceramic Straightening Hair Brush features multiple different styles of bristles which hopefully you can see in this image above. The bristles are designed to detangle the hair, infuse oil into the hair, and help to smooth and straighten alongside the heat.
If you struggle with co-ordination or have dexterity issues, the Revamp ProGloss Deepform Ceramic Straightening Hair Brush is so much easier to use than hair straighteners. You literally section a piece of hair, and brush the section of hair with the brush slower than you would an ordinary brush.
It’s genuinely as easy and simple as that, and it’s so much kinder on the hair as you’re not clamping two hot plates and dragging it along your hair. It doesn’t give you poker straight hair like you would if you used straighteners on each piece 3-4 times, but if you want a smooth, non-frizzy, super shiny, straight style, it’s so worth a try.
It’s particularly great for second day hair, when you want to smooth any kinks out, and it takes seconds to use. I am such a convert, and I haven’t touched my straighteners since I tried the Revamp ProGloss Deepform Ceramic Straightening Hair Brush, as it does everything I need it to do!
