I shared the news all about the Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021, on the day that it launched (the 26th of August), and I’m very excited to be able to show you the advent calendar in real life, with an unboxing and swatches of every single product inside.

I love sharing news about beauty launches, but with beauty boxes and advent calendars, it’s nice to be able to show you what it looks like for real, and not just relying on stock images.
The 2020 Profusion Advent Calendar was the 25 Days To Sleigh Calendar, and it featured a matte black and rose gold foil design. It looked quite pretty, but the contents inside the calendar did look a little cheap in terms of quality, so I wasn’t at all tempted last year.
The Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021 has a pentagon shaped design, with the prettiest purple and pink night sky, with stars and clouds. It really is a beautiful design, and I love that the design is carried through to the inside of the calendar too.
It’s a perforated door format calendar, and you get twenty-five doors to open during Advent. This calendar features a mix of deluxe mini sized products, beauty tools and also full sized products too.
It’s priced at £30, which I think is really reasonable for a 25-day advent calendar, especially when you compare it to the Revolution Advent Calendars, which are in excess of £80 to £120.
Let’s take a look at every single product inside the Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021…
First up in the Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021 is the Profusion Loose Pigment. It doesn’t actually have a name, but it’s a sparkly shimmery gold with gold glitter. It’s actually really pretty, and gives a high-shine metallic finish.
Next up is a pair of Profusion Tweezers. These are rose gold, and they’re a mini size. They’re nice and sharp, and I could tweeze with them effectively, and as they’re mini, they’re perfect for throwing in your bag.
The next product in the Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021 is the Profusion Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in a matte dark brown colour. It’s a firm, yet smooth eyeliner. It’s perhaps a little firmer than I would have liked, but it’s creamy enough that you can blend it out.
We then have one of the many mini tubes within the calendar. It’s the Profusion Lip Gloss in the shade Nude. It’s a super pigmented, opaque warm brown toned nude with a satin finish.
The second eyeliner within the advent calendar is the Profusion Black Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil, and it’s even creamier and more pigmented formula compared to the brown liner. It’s so smokey and smooth, and super easy to smudge and buff into the lashes.
The next product in the Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021 is the Profusion Sparkling Lip Topper, which is in the shade Jupiter. This is the prettiest, pigmented bold red lip gloss, loaded with gold, orange and red glitter. It’s pretty much Christmas in a tube, and leaves behind a very bold red stain.
Next is the Profusion Clear Brow Gel, in a mini 1.3ml size. It’s such a tiny brow gel, I do wish it was a larger size, as it’s a product we’d use the most often from the whole calendar, but it’s a nice size for throwing in your bag / purse.
The Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021 also includes a tapered, face brush for applying powder, bronzer, blusher and highlighter.
The next lip gloss inside the calendar is the Profusion Lip Gloss in the shade Naked. It’s a much deeper brown nude, compared to the shade at the beginning of the calendar.
One of my favourite items in the calendar is the Profusion Blush & Highlight Duo. There’s no shade name for this powder duo, but it’s seriously pretty. It includes a deep berry matte powder blusher, and a peachy pink with a gold shimmer duochrome finish.
The formula is amazing, and if you gave me this duo to try, and I didn’t see the packaging or brand name, I would honestly think it was NARS or MAC. It’s genuinely that good!
There are two different glues within the Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021, and the first is the Profusion Glitter Adhesive, which can be used with loose pigments, glitter shadows or face jewels. The calendar does include some loose glitter, so it’s nice they’ve included a glue in order to use the glitter.
The next product in the calendar is the Profusion Sparkling Lip Topper, and is a sheer raspberry pink gloss, with pink shimmer. The shade is called Solar, and it’s a pretty sparkly pink.
Another great product in the calendar is the Profusion Shadow Duo. It doesn’t have a shade name, which is weird, but it includes a matte neutral brown, and a sparkly and iridescent pink shadow topper.
The next product is the Profusion Sparkling Lip Topper in the shade Pink Galaxy. It’s a sheer gloss, with pink sparkle and shimmer.
Then we have the Profusion Eyelash Adhesive, in a mini 4ml size, and there’s some lashes further on in the calendar, so it’s good to have some glue to apply them.
Another powder product without a shade name, and it’s the Profusion Shimmer Highlighter, which is a really pretty, super metallic brown, with gold shimmer. It’s very deep for a highlighter, but for those that aren’t able to wear it on the face, it doubles up as a stunning eyeshadow.
Next in the Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021 is the Profusion Tapered Eyeshadow Blending Brush. It’s soft, and fluffy, with zero shedding.
The next item is yet another lip gloss, and this is the Profusion Sparkling Lip Topper, and it doesn’t have a shade name on the tube, unlike the others which are individually named. It’s a clear gloss, with masses of gold, silver, pink and white glitter particles.
The Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021 includes two eyeshadow palettes, and they’re both unnamed. This is the Profusion Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette, with seven powder shadows. The mattes are nicely pigmented, and the shimmers are metallic and pretty.
The next product in the calendar is the Profusion Brow Pencil, which again doesn’t have a shade name. Putting a brow pencil in an advent calendar is never a good idea, as the amount of people it’ll work for is very limited. This shade is a light, warm toned blonde shade, which I’m unable to use, as I have naturally very dark brows.
The lashes within the calendar are the Profusion Wispies False Lashes, and they have a black cotton band, with wispy clusters of lashes along the band. I like that you can use them with the glue we got earlier on in the calendar.
There’s one disappointing product in the calendar, and it’s the Profusion Sparkling Eye Topper. It doesn’t have a shade name, and the name is spelt wrong – Profusion have it named as “SPARLING” which is a bit of a fail, but the fail is the formula. It’s very watery, chunky, and has big lumps within the formula. It’s a light gold, but it’s not very pleasant.
Another one of my favourite products within the Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021 is this Profusion Highlight + Contour Powder Duo. It’s a deep gold highlighter and a cool toned matte brown, and I actually think it’d be a gorgeous eyeshadow duo. The highlighter is very deep again, and as it’s a mini duo, the chance of picking up colour in the other pan with your brush, but with eyeshadow brushes, that wouldn’t be an issue.
Next up is the Profusion Loose Glitter Stars. it’s a small pot full of holographic stars, which is a little random, but at least you could use the glitter adhesive ton use them. Although they definitely aren’t eye safe, as they’re large chunky stars with sharp points, so definitely keep them away from the eyes.
The very last item in the Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021 is the second eyeshadow palette within the calendar, and it’s another Profusion Multi Finish Palette, with a warm colour story, with mattes, shimmers and a sparkly almost ColourPop Super Shock shadow formula type shade. All seven shades are pigmented, and they blend nicely too.
So, that’s the entire Profusion Beauty Advent Calendar 2021 unboxed and swatched for you. I am genuinely super impressed with the entire calendar. For £30, the quality is brilliant, and it’s actually better than the £80 Revolution Advent Calendar which has launched for 2021.
The only one disappointment is the liquid eyeshadow, as it’s so watery and lumpy, but the other 24 products are great, and it’s one of the best affordable advent calendars available for 2021, and it’s available right here.
