The first beauty collaboration of 2022 has been revealed, and it’s the Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Collaboration, which is a collaboration I don’t think anyone would have guessed.
So many beauty brands have collaborated with Sanrio on a Hello Kitty collaboration, but Pixi isn’t a brand I would’ve seen doing a licensed collaboration, but it’s nice to see them branching out and doing something different, instead of their frequent influencer collaborations.
Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Collaboration
“Hello Kitty was born in the suburbs of London. As she always says, “you can never have too many friends!” This brand-new friendship brings you radiance boosting essentials and illuminating hues for eyes, lips & cheeks. It’s time to say Hello to GLOW!“
The Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Collaboration includes ten products in total, and it includes special limited edition packaging on some old favourites from the Pixi range, like their Glow Tonic. Plus, there are a couple of new products too, so let’s take a look at what’s included within the collaboration…
First up in the Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Collaboration is the Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Glow Tonic and the Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Makeup Fixing Mist.
The bottles are the same as the original Pixi Face Mists version, except there’s Hello Kitty on the label, and the lid of the bottles feature a Hello Kitty shaped head, which is kinda cute.
Next in the Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Collaboration is the Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Anywhere Patches, which are said to be rejuvenating “anywhere” facial patches, allowing you to apply them to anywhere on your face;
“Smooth and soothe your skin with these hydrogel patches that can be applied anywhere, anytime! The calming formula contains Peptides, Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramide to deeply moisturize and tone.“
We then have the Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty A For Apples Multi-Vitamin Infusion Sheet Masks, which is a box of three individually wrapped single-use sheet masks;
“Biodegradable sheet masks that are infused with a multi-vitamin serum formula to help instantly promote the appearance of youthful-looking skin.“
Next up in the collection is the Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Lip Tone pH Reactive Lip Gloss. It’s a tube format lip gloss, with colour changing technology which reacts to the pH level of your lips;
“A pH reactive lip gloss enriched with Rosehip Seed Oil and Mango Butter to help hydrate and soften while leaving a sheer touch-of-colour that is unique to you.“
If you enjoy the formula of the Pixi Beauty Endless Silky Eye Pen eyeliner pencils, you’ll be happy to know the Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Collaboration includes a special limited edition shade for this collab, called “London Fog“;
“The formula you know and love in a limited-edition shade, LondonFog! This water-resistant, long-wear eye pencil gives the concentrated colour of a liquid liner in a silky, easy-to-apply gel pencil.“
Next we have two shades of the Pixi Glow-Y Powder Highlighters, each of which feature a raised Hello Kitty face shape on the pan, which is super cute. The lighter shade of the two is called Sweet Glow, and the deeper shade is called Friendly Blush, and they both look super pretty.
The Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Collaboration includes one eyeshadow palette, and it’s the Hello Kitty Eye Effects Palette, featuring nine shades. I think it’s my favourite product from the whole collaboration, as the shades are so pretty.
It’s a really cute palette, with Hello Kitty’s face on the front of the palette, and then the bottom row of shades within the palette also feature a raised, Hello Kitty head design, complete with her iconic bow.
The final product in the collection is the Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Chrome Glow Palette, which features nine powders for use on the face as blush and highlighter, but of course you can use them on the eyes too;
“A multi-use face palette containing 9 universally-flattering shades to add a soft lustre effect to the complexion. The buttery, creamy powder formula blends like a dream and is infused with skin-loving treats.“
Overall, the Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty Collaboration is very cute. Some brands do Hello Kitty collabs, and it feels a bit random, and like they’re just sticking the brand on a collection with little thought into the products.
Whilst the collection won’t be for everyone, I think Hello Kitty fans will be happy with what’s within the collection, and all ten products in the limited edition collection are available right now.
