The Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer is a bronzer I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about, but shamefully, it’s a bronzer I’d never even tried before.. until recently. It had been on my wishlist for the longest time, but I’d never got round to giving it a try.

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer
Physicians Formula wasn’t available in the UK until just over a year ago, so I couldn’t get it anyway, and when it did launch, it was £15 which really put me off. In the UK, the Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer is £15.
However in the US, the same bronzer is $15 which works out at £10.86, and it’s so infuriating seeing British beauty retailers give customers the American price, but with a pound sign instead of a dollar sign.
“Ultra-luxurious bronzer, infused with Murumuru Butter, delivers a radiant Brazilian goddess glow! Incredibly creamy and soft texture combines the best features of a powder and cream bronzer, to deliver a lit-from-within tropical glow unlike any other.
Packed with essential fatty acids and pro-vitamins that soften, condition and moisturize skin, leaving it silky soft.
Ultra-rich bronzer formula instantly melts into skin, sealing-in moisture to deliver instant and lasting hydration. Features ultra-refined pearl and soft-focus pigments that smooth skin texture, brighten skin tone and deliver a gorgeous bronze finish.“
The Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer is housed within a chunky, rounded compact with a clear lid. The powder pan lifts like a secondary lid, and underneath the pan there’s a mirror, and also the most useless bronzer applicator I’ve ever seen.
It’s a foam wedge which looks like it would be best used for scooping hummus than it would apply bronzer. I’m not going to lie, I’ve not given it a try as it looks ridiculous, and I’d much rather use a big fluffy bronzer brush instead for a light dusting of bronze on the skin.
In the US, the Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer is available in eight different shades, which is a pretty decent shade range for a drugstore bronzer. However, the UK only has four shades available, and I chose the lightest shade which is Light Bronzer.
One of things everyone talks about when it comes to this bronzer, is the scent. You can smell the bronzer’s strong scent through the cardboard box, it really is that strong.
It’s a very strong coconut scent, and if you don’t like coconut, you will not enjoy this bronzer, as the fragrance is so potent. Luckily for me, I love coconut anything when it comes to beauty products, so the scent doesn’t bother me.
The Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer has a rippled liquid silk effect on the pan, and it really does feel buttery soft and silky. It applies beautifully on the skin too. It’s so easy to blend, and never leaves my skin looking muddy or too orange.
The ‘Light Bronzer’ shade is a nice neutral bronze shade, and I’m so glad I finally gave it a try. I feel like it’s totally worth the hype, and I’d love to try more from Physicians Formula now their products are more accessible here in the UK.
