If you have blemish-prone skin, you might be interested to hear all about the Philosophy Clear Days Ahead Acne Drying Lotion which is part of the Philosophy Clear Days Ahead skincare collection. The Clear Days Ahead collection now features seven different products, all targeted to be an advanced, fast-acting acne system.
Philosophy Clear Days Ahead Acne Drying Lotion
The Philosophy Clear Days Ahead Acne Drying Lotion is an acne spot treatment that gently dries out blemishes in supposedly just 1 day without irritating the surrounding skin.
Key Benefits
- Gently dries out blemishes in 1 day
- The formula does not irritate surrounding skin
Its formula features 10% sulfur to quickly dry out your blemishes, salicylic acid, soothing vitamin B5 and also witch hazel. It’s a bi-phase sulphuric acne treatment, which looks similar to the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion.
Directions
Clean the skin thoroughly before applying this product. Shake well and dip a cotton swab into the product. Dab directly onto acne and let dry. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily.
Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
The format is exactly the same as the Mario Badescu version, in that you mustn’t shake the bottle, but you use a cotton bud or Q-tip to dip into the green coloured sediment at the bottom of the bottle. You then use the cotton bud / Q-tip to press onto your blemishes and breakouts, and the formula gets to work on treating the problem areas.
The Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is notorious for being really harsh on the skin, and it is very drying. I find that the Mario Badescu version stings and burns the skin, so it’ll be interesting to see how the Philosophy Clear Days Ahead Acne Drying Lotion compares, and it’s available right now.
